    hi All,
I'm newbie in the business line but have been driving truck for 5years. Now I'm at a point that I need to hire drivers for my two trucks. I need some guidance in how do i go about it . I know basic things that i need to check there driving record, but what else, how do i check there felony or any other criminal records? ...How do i go about checking there employment history.

If someone who has hired drivers can give me some pointers that'll be really appreciated. Are there any websites that i can go and submit there information that can do there background check ? ...what are the steps to hire a good driver ? ...

    thanks Alot :).

Google a drug consortium in your area. You will pay for the drug test. There are a lot of rules and procedure for DOT drug test, the consortium can help tremendously

Driving record and drug test first, depending on where you are most likely you foot the bill. Most places are wanting TWIC cards which is depending on what you haul, just a starter.

How have you done this in the past? Nothing has changed recently in terms of regulations.
