The receiver met me at the Lowes in the Rim shopping center in San Antonio off I10 and then he led me up the hill to the job site, a new corporate headquarters building for a large energy company. It took about 4 hours to unload because I had to park out front and the forklift had to drive around several obstacles to get the product to the door, where it was moved inside by a dolly fork.

Went to a suburb of Ft Worth, TX to pick up a load of 40' steel signal towers and associated hardware to be used by a Canadian railway. I'll be taking them to Wisconsin, and then I believe they will go intermodal from there.

Now at the TA in Denton, TX off I35.

sorry to walk on your thread if you find it not relevant but I have a lot of life experience, you have a load & actually doing something ~ many people stuck with nowhere near as good equipment as is shown in the picture or sitting there not even able to find someone to hire them - so basically what to do now is not get over-excited and remain total-focus on what is right in front of you

after 3-5 years actually doing it, then one can think about maybe I should have done this or that .... but not until several years actually doing things does one second-guess what should have happened

keep good posture & composure when talking to dispatchers, ignore promotional materials, just do what you are doing

Turns out the receiving location is normally unmanned and they will only take the load of signal towers on Thursday when someone will be there. This would mean I'd be sitting for 24 hours. So I am going to relay the load to our Cottage Grove, WI drop lot tomorrow and get another assignment. Hopefully one that takes me eastward...

Dropped the loaded trailer of signal towers at the Cottage Grove, WI lot, then grabbed an empty curtainside to take to Marshfield (our HQ). Then bobtailed 2 miles to a local shipper where I picked up this pre-loaded trailer bound for Massachusetts:

However, I will will drop this trailer in the Bensalem (Philadelphia), PA lot, then head home. :)
