Tmc Is a great place to work. Money and benefits are both great And so is home time But if you want to stay out like you said above They have freight that goes everywhere So you're earning potential is much higher If you have no reason to go home

Sorry for the multiple posts But I'm on my cell phone so it's easier to do more than 1. I'm currently on the john deere fleet So I am only home every other weekend But I will tell you if you're willing to stay out over the weekend they will run you. For the first 6 months to 9 months that you're here you're pays just gonna be so so But once you put in your time improve yourself you will get much better loads and much better pay checks. Want to put your time in you have the potential to easily bring home 1000 dollars a week That's also aberdeen 5 loads a week. If you can run your 5 loads a week and then if you stay out for a weekend yo get a very good load for the weekend you can easily pull off 1000 dollars take home. It's not difficult I do it every week And some are even better. If you have any questions I am more than willing to answer them for you

Darkside....I think this is a good career for someone that's young and single, with no attachments at home. All you have to do is work hard, pay attention, and ask questions to learn how to do what needs to be done. When I first started, for example, I spent probably a month or so, taking an hour or so each day, practicing backing after I shut down. I'd sit with my map looking at routes to figure out the best ways to get to places when I got a load. All it takes to make it out here is the desire and ability to learn all that you can, and not rushing to get things done.

As for being no attachments...I am also single with no kids. I have no apt, so when (if) I go home, I stay with my parents. I am currently on the 2 month out since my last home time (left April 29), and don't plan on going home until sometime in early September. I don't know how TMC would handle something like that, but my DM realizes that I have no need to be in a certain area of the country, and I end up getting big loads. I just had 2 cross country loads that turned my paycheck into a miniature bank. Well, 2 half country (Charleston SC to Chicago IL and Chicago IL to Tacoma WA), and one cross country (Seattle to Boston). Sometimes I'll get a load that delivers in or close to Houston, and I'll get to go home for a night or two...that's plenty for me, and that helps me stay out a little longer. There's a lot of work out here for those who like it, and all the shiny chrome on those Pete's won't put any money in your pocket if it is sitting in your driver.

    milskired Thanks this.

ok then, if this is u, u may want to do 1 simple thing that i was told & did when i was starting out 20 yrs ago; keep quiet & keep ur ears & eyes open & most of all help out when able. don't ask why something that's being done a certain way; just study & realize the way its done is done for a reason

Alright alright. Its my turn to throw in my 3 cents worth. Hey guy, you ask all the questions that you feel you need to. Yes, this is my first trucking job. Yes, my cooler kicks butt. I love mine because I can put real food in it and eat semi normal food. You cannot modify a TMC truck, at all. Period. They are very strict pertaining to their trucks. Dont let folks make your mind up for you. You do what you think is right for you. If you wanna ask me questions, you can find me easier on my thread.
