Southwest Florida is probably one of the most difficult areas to be hired from for a decent OTR job. I have considered Heyl because they seem to have their act together. Most companies I have researched that operate out of Florida seem to think that we don't need to make a living wage, or that we don't need to spend anytime at our homes. I accept the fact that we have to run at least 12-16 days out before we can justify a couple days off. That's trucking. It is interesting to me that people will blast a company because they don't offer one or two particular perks that others do. If I was a smart man I would have stayed with one company over the years and rode out the changes but I didn't. now I am trying to restart a career I left last year. As long as the company I choose will give me a reasonably safe vehicle to drive and decent paycheck, I will provide the up most service I can. There are too many drivers out here who don't have the opportunity to complain. I hope they consider my application. Thanks for letting me ramble.
