Southwest Florida is probably one of the most difficult areas to be hired from for a decent OTR job. I have considered Heyl because they seem to have their act together. Most companies I have researched that operate out of Florida seem to think that we don't need to make a living wage, or that we don't need to spend anytime at our homes. I accept the fact that we have to run at least 12-16 days out before we can justify a couple days off. That's trucking. It is interesting to me that people will blast a company because they don't offer one or two particular perks that others do. If I was a smart man I would have stayed with one company over the years and rode out the changes but I didn't. now I am trying to restart a career I left last year. As long as the company I choose will give me a reasonably safe vehicle to drive and decent paycheck, I will provide the up most service I can. There are too many drivers out here who don't have the opportunity to complain. I hope they consider my application. Thanks for letting me ramble.

That Banana load was fun, had me running nite time thru 70-68 to 79 to avoid tolls:biggrin_25523: the series 60 with a 9 speed doesnt pull as nice as the dd15 with the 13 speed, oh well got her done . Chilling in Dixon Il waiting for some hours. starting to feel more comfortable with the heyl way of doing things just not a fan of the fuel routing system. Totally spoiled from running e-logs, embarrased my log book looks like my 3yr old filled it out:biggrin_2554:.
