just got a new one put on. some of you guys need to calm down. diesel is not gonna blow up on the side of the road. and i was completely legal weight-wise, as I always am, being I load my own truck. 42k on the drives, and 42k on my trailer. maybe it was the way i typed it, but the tire wasnt that hot, hotter than the rest, but it wasnt that hot. and it was the inside tire in the middle of the night, i wasnt worried about a cop seeing it.

im in a daycab, i couldnt just crawl back into my sleeper for 8 hours til someone would come out on a sunday morning. i made it, i knew i was gonna make, just wanted to know what people on here thought. apparently the majority doesnt approve, and thats fine, i would still do it again

The fact of the matter is, it is an OOS violation to drive with a flat tire on any wheel position, in contact with the ground. It is your choice, if you want to risk that violation. Myself, I will not and I do pay for my own truck and trailer expenses.

I guess none of the guys that say don't move an inch has never discovered a flat tire at the end of the day? Do you know exactly when that tire went flat? That tire could have been flat for 3 hours already. I know I check mine in the morning and every 3 hours afterward. I'm assuming he had a 3 axle trailer grossing 98,000lbs. If the flat tire is still in one piece check the adjacent tire for temp and make sure the pressure is good on that one and run it to a T/S.

I guess you did read his ORIGINAL POST , he knew he had a flat , adjacent tire was running hot , was not something he discovered at the end of the day. He asked for opinions and he got a few , not all to his and some others liking..

Sure, but the OP drove 140 miles to make a delivery. I am sure he passed many places to fix the problem.

Actually I didn't pass any places that could've fixed it. So don't act like you know my situation. Not in a metro area, a little tough in western north dakota in the middle of the night

Does not matter. I really think it was irresponsible. It is your choice, but I wonder what your company would think if they found out?
