I have oilfield experience about 10yrs and that actually might hold me back, they might figure I will jump ship when I get out there, currently live in Southern Louisiana, and the oifield here is down, offshore hasnt been the same due to oil spill

well, yes - that is a valid concern but standard operations in construction where I have decades of experience is to go to any boom area and take any job you can find, then after very short time - say 2 or three paychecks - you (usually) do not have to drive far to find something, if these companies are scared of that then you have not driven through E.F.S. ~ I may be going to Victoria for a preliminary effort, due the the way it all works it is realistic that some company may bump me a truck for the driving skills test due to the fact that I dont steal, have 100,000 hours around equipment and can handle a water-tanker very readily with nothing but a ride-along for a few hours to determine where the water pump is and where the dispatcher wants ......

Louisiana got good as the spill is now considered over but if you have been driving there then you should have the ($) to make a day-trip to Karnes County - along with Bee and others, see the Texas RR Comm. map of Eagle Ford Shale and make a day trip over there and one day driving around then one day back, to pack and get your details attended

Should of made myself more clear, I do not have a CDL and have 10yrs exp in the Oilfield as a service hand, and with that, is the reasoning of jumping ship for higher paying job. The reason I want my CDL is you will always have a job. As far as Louisiana being over from the spill, far from it offshore, not talking about the impact on the enviroment, but on the Feds releasing drilling leases for new wells, it is still very flat offshore due to this and current administration. I have quiet a few friends who have lost there jobs offshore due to lack of work. My father in law runs the local district for sub of Nabors drilling, a service company that deals with instrumentation, he is down to 3 service hands, before the spill he had over 20. Northern Louisiana has done great till recently, but now we have rigs moving out and going to Texas and North Dakota. This is the evil of the oilfield, and most rookies dont understand coming into it. You will make great $$ for a couple years than can have equal years struggling, the only differnce now a days is there more of it going on, North Dakota, Colorado, Penn, Kansas, Nebraska , Wyoming etc.... Its has a lot of ups and downs but once it gets into your blood, its hard to leave. I am 3rd generation oilfield

pm me so I dont have to listen to the newbie underlings, I am so very glad to have someone who is in grasp of the facts, I have a list of some 70 companies - which I was going to email you but feard getting on spam-lists - see also bikerdave on this forum as well as rockdoctor - who both seem to be doing good work on looking for hydraulic water-fracturing tanker-driver work in ......

there are several "boom" areas and I do not mean video-games and other joke-along / jerk-along ~ this site seems to be worth it as over 50-% of the work is either a voice of someone with actual experience or at least a wanna-be who is trying.....

I passed my written & doctor exam for D.O.T. regulations, still looking to take the driving skills road-test as soon as I can get over my fears of that being conducted for nimrod "rules" that do not find basis in the 100,000 hours I have, suffice it to say possession of and good compliance with safety & performance C.D.L. does not in any way prove hope for consistent & long-term employment security, though with expertise in petroleum operations I suggest that deeper examination of what I have put together is consistent with your objectives

I will use a one-way mail dump that you cannot trace-back as I have deep and extensive experience with computer-code .....

anyway, pm me, I gotta get some rest, expect reply like at 6 am or something,,.....

(What kind of monthly hotel rates are you guys paying down there in Odessa/Midland, if there are any rooms at all?)

$360 a week, for a CHEAP place and only cause I've been here more than 30 days and no longer have to pay the taxes. Value Place is $449 a week plus taxes and they have a waiting list.

Still advertising but on a hiring freeze (Midland area), indefinitely, as of today. Straight from the horses mouth. Do not know if that includes crude haulers......
