Pay drivers more than Micky d's and csa scores will drop. You treat drivers like human and not cheap labor for cheap wages and u will see drivers take pride in their work. Look at whats driving trucks these.days and you ask yourself REALLY.

Easier said then done. The number one log violation is "Not Current", a violation that even very good drivers get nailed on.

20% is pretty darn good. Wish we could do that and I'm with a very large carrier that stresses complaince. We are constantly on the edge with our Fatigue Basis.

Switching to eLogs in general has dropped the number of inspections dramatically. We're on the cusp of dropping below 150 relevant inspections.

At one of the CVSA meetings Tommy was pointing out to Ms. Ferrarro our fatigue score while on the surface horrible when examined showed over 75% were" not current" or" Form and manner" for clerical errors like no BOL# wrong or no equipment. ........

They tried penalizing the pay of those who were cited for such, suspensions, and flat out let some drivers go because we were losing customers over it. Ms. Ferrarro's response was quite simple" They'll be current on elogs and some systems can automatically enter all pertinent info".

When he told us the story he said "I had no response". Besides by that time we as a company had decided to go to them on our timeline knowing they were coming anyways. That way we could control the switch.

how much does SAFTY improve by making sure that all the (i) are dotted and all the (t) are crossed on your logs?

really, does making sure that your bol # is on that log keep you from getting in a wreck?

    Scania man Thanks this.
