But you are still logging illegal and you know it, just by your statement, you make it look legal. Again that attitude is why the box is now a law to be implemented over the next few years.

ummm, the exact reason the box is being implemented is becuase yall obviously have no clue what your doing.
how in the world does 600 a.m. to 1615 TRANSLATE TO 21+ HOURS.
but since you all opened your mouth and inserted foot.
i'm curious as to how in the heck yall came up with you IDIOTIC assumptions.
log illegal. how in the world did i do that??????????????????
and how in the heck did i start my 14 AFTER i got my bills in hand.
expl;ain to me how you all came up with your stupid assumptions. cuz i'm just really dumbfounded.
to open mouth and insert foot makes you 3 as stupid is as stupid does and dumber then a box of rocks.
THE TRUCK WAS PARKED AT 600 P.M. THE TRUCK MOVED AT 630 A.M. THAT'S 12 1/2 HOURS SITTING. MEANING I HAVE A PERFECTLY LEGAL 14 TO START. 630 A.M. TO 415 P.M. WITH BILLS LEAVES ME 4 HOURS TO DRIVE. IF THAT ISN'T LEGAL THEN I MUSTA BEEN BORN YESTERDAY.
the box is mandated becuase a LOT OF UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU don't know how to fill out a simple peace of paper.Cowmobile and TheRoadWarrior Thank this. -
Snowy my brother your beating a dead horse. you were completly legal especially with 12.5 hrs off. Some people get it some just dont.

I am not talking about what you did before you started your day at 0630. It is what you did after 1615 with bills in hand what you did. Just by your attitude, I know you did not shut down for the day or just drive the 4 hours you had left on your 14. You made your logs look legal, and drove well into the night.
And it is that reason, make it look legal that the box has been mandated.
Me I can do it both ways, but logging legals is very simple, and I have never had a log violation on paper or electronic. And it is not worth the risk for me to make it look legal.Autocar Thanks this. -
Ah, if only we all lived in a perfect world, hauling toilet paper in a box with a week to go 1,000 miles...

What is forgotten is that the law doesn't care what you haul.
Be it toilet paper, oranges or animals,etc...............they want it hauled legally.
Recently there was a bullhauler stating that his runs couldn't be done with E-logs.
He is wrong.(to it in relay or with team drivers to name just 2 ways)
It can be done but not the way that is was done in the past.
This involves changes in workpractices and attitudes.
It think that a big part off the problem is that a lot off drivers fear change.
Doesn't matter if they might be better off after the change, the fear off the unknown is there and it is big.
With the high number off trucks now running on the highways, they are looking at making it easier to check and force drivers to run legal.
Aldough it has to be said that even with paper logs ,lawenforcement can find all your fiddles and cleaned up parts off those logs.
(have a big accident and see what happens.Even the small "adjustments" made to a paperlog will surfice, they only have to dig deep enough) -
That's right, make everyone dummy proof then there would be no need for diesel bears.

BOY. when you stick your foot in your mouth. do you just tickle your tonsels? or do you go for the deep throat.
flatbeds don't work weekends. so that just shot your drive all night theory down the drain.
and YES i did drive the remaining 4 hours. cuz that's how long it takes to get back TO THE YARD. where i parked my truck. jumped in my car. and finished the journey HOME FOR THE WEEKEND. when i picked my truck back up. i had over 34 hours hometime. and a FRESH 70 to start the week with so that i could make my delivery mponday morning.
but you wanna hear the really great news. i picked my next load up for TUESDAY delivery. was droiving down the highway. 100 miles to delivery. i need fuel. i've passed the last scale on that particular trip so i filled up the tanks putting me 100 lbs. over. got back on the freeway and SURPRISE. all trucks must exit for weight check.
that right BOY. a surprise blitz halfway between thef two scales on that particular freeway.
can y ou say FIFTY DOLLARS.
don't you and your box feel really stupid about now -
TLeaHeart Thanks this.
