It was something the FMCSA sent back in May.
The government just passed the highway bill and it is now part of it. This happened on 6-29.

Seems many of new breed come out of school all knowing.d o g, MNdriver, Giggles the Original and 1 other person Thank this. -
And sometimes the new guy actually does know more than the older timer set in his ways, and unwilling to change, or adapt.
Or even one who still depends on magazines that have a 2 to 6 month publishing window, to argue about current legislation that was passed and signed into law July 3rd(correction 6th), 2012.
And yes the e logs, and eobrs will and are being challenged, but they are now law.Last edited: Jul 19, 2012

Now, I hope it gets challenged very quickly. -
Younger ppl catch on to the computer stuff faster. It's like this, my kids have a Nintendo wii. I can't hardly use those controllers cuz there is too many knobs and buttons. They own me at those games. Now give me a game with one stick and one button, I will own them. I played combat and they play Call of Duty.
Point is, they were brought up around technology. They are not afraid of it and they catch on faster. The older generation brags about not being able to know how to turn on a computer. Some of my mentors won't own a smart phone and barely knows how to use a regular cell phone if they have one at all.
If you are gonna stay in trucking, you have to accept and adapt to change. -
But my truck is not like a semi. I can use it to go camping and personal trips. 1 ton dodge.
