I didn't see any thread for them, in the Trucking Company DAC forum, so is there anyone here with any knowledge/experience with them? They are one of the two companies I've gotten a pre-hire from (the other being Roehl) and I'd like more info, to make an informed decision...

Hey Moe, actually on my way home from orientation at Wolding. Had a great week, heading home to meet my trainer right now! The guys that you work with during orientation are awesome. They really work with you and want to see you and help you succeed. Very personal touch in there. As far as the company, there were plenty of drivers in the yard to talk to, and every one of them that we spoke to seemed to love the company. They are a mid size company (around 350 or so tractors if I recall correctly). You really get a sense of a strong, family run business there. Mr. H.O. Wolding himself is 99 years old and still comes into the office a couple of times a week! Dan Wolding (I believe is either H.O.'s son or grandson) was sitting out in front of the bunkhouse Thursday afternoon having lunch at the picnic tables with the drivers! Now I realize that I have only been there for the past week, but first impressions are lasting and myself, and the 2 other guys I had orientation with all said by the end of the week that we definately made the right choice to start out! Good luck with your decisions, and starting your career! Hope i offered a little glimpse for you. (PS I have also heard fairly good things about Roehl! Their terminal isn't far from Wolding, and one of the training guys used to work for them before coming to Wolding)
Moe Rhonic and savage8000 Thank this. -

I totally know what you mean. Unfortunately no advances till you get out with your trainer. Breakfast and lunch are covered tuesday, Wednesday and thursday. Breakfast only on friday. Dinnee is your responsibility, however they will reimburse up to $10/day. You do get $75e for friday also. However you will not get paid until the following week. Any more questions feel free to ask, i have another 12 hrs on the bus!

Yeah, there is a diner across the street, you pay nothing, just sign the bill and go. Food is really really good too! (Note: you may want to ask for half-size portions lol)

So, Moe who did you join?
