Smily is not saying that the lisence is a fake he is saying that it was issued by an employee of the dmv under false pretences. Therefore it would be enterd into the dmv data base as a lagit lisence even though it is not so when DOT ran it at a stop it would come up good to go. However you should still report thisto the DMV because I am sure that they are not all crooked and someone would be willing to check into it:biggrin_25510:

Plan and simple! Call whatever your local branch FBI branch is. Call me a racist and profiling, but I don't want any guy of any decent, let alone Arabic on my roads that bought a license! I don't mind a guy that is just making a living and went through the passes, but once you send a red flag up by knowingly braking the law, the gloves come off. No more of this liberal tree hugging crap. We need to defend ourselves from a safety point of view on the road to a homeland security level! Shame on you if you don't call the FBI and DMV. No offense, but what if someone gets hurt or killed while he is at the wheel! I would not want that on my chest. I will tell you that.

What does it have to do with me??????? UMMM hello this is illegal for #1, secondly if everyone felt the way you apparently do then the world would go to hell in a hen basket. Maybe those on the airplane with the shoe bomber should have turned their heads to 2) Arabic people come to this country thinking they are owed something and because they are foreigners can get away with ####. 3) about a month ago according to his wife he was in TX and there was a down pour of rain, they were fighting on phone and he nearly ran a couple off the road, they called his arabic company and reported it and low and behold wouldn't you know there is no record of it on his DAC report. Why ??? I'll tell you why, they cover each others ###. Don't go there saying others shouldn't be observant /question matters espically when it comes to illegally obtaining license where it may endanger the public's safety. Does Sept 11 not creep into your mind at all, that maybe there are sleeper cells in Trucks???

Well, it sounds like you already know what you need to do. Sounds like we agree.

I know in Indiana there was a lady busted at the BMV for selling drivers licences to imigrants. It seems she was mainly for hispanics, however there could be the same out there for the arabians. I would mail a formal complaint to the Federal, not sure if you will get anywhere, but it is worth a try. It isn't fair the USA drivers need to go through special training etc.

First, you do have DMV employees selling CDL's for big money to unqualified people. Second, there is what is called a fraudulent license. Made by someone on a home computer and a ID maker. Most of the time they use a "Legitimate" person's information, i.e. steal a real person's identity and customize it to fit the imposter. Smiley if you still have the information send me a private message and I will discuss this with you.

The states don't care if or not an individual can read or speak English rules when it comes to receiving a license. Some states actually have people to interpret for others when they go for their driving test (written & road). Motor carriers are supposed to ensure this, but most times do not because of the driver shortage. State motor carrier officers however will place the driver out of service during an inspection i.e. at a scale under the CVSA criteria because it is a big problem. Before I retired, the FMCSA actually stated that we were not to enforce the rule about English because places like CA, FL, AZ, and TX have so many drivers that can't speak English. Some of the websites advertising for dispatchers actually require a dispatcher to be multi-lingual. I suggest you call the state motor carrier people in his state of residence and complain about it. They sometimes will investigate that driver, as well as the carrier for accepting that driver.

Um/ possibly because it was merely a complaint and not an accident? As in, no blood, no foul. As in, you are having a hissy-fit over the taste of the gum on postage stamps.

(yes, I know this thread is a year old)

Never did hear if the OP ever did anything, or if she just wanted to whine

I saw the title of this thread & thought that it was a thread about good old IL Gov. George Ryan.
