Question for you GRAVDIGR, now that you've seen the loadboard, are there alot of appointment times on these loads or they more of " deliver on" a certain day type deals..thanks.
-
Some are appointment, some are the type of "they stop loading at 1400 so pickup before then, receiver stops unloading at 1600 so deliver before then anytime this week". Now all my loads from agents were appointment loads.

How does the fuel card and network work? Can you fuel when and where you want? Can you buy as much as you choose? Any fees ? Advances ? Discounts ? Thanks for any info in advance.

Hey gravdigr,
I was thinking about going to malone, although not doing the l/p. I'll be wanting to buy my own truck then lease it on. If I do that can you get a trailer through Malone without a bulkhead? I prefer a headache rack instead if a bulkhead is why I ask
Ethan -
The trailers have a bulkheads and no you cannot remove them, and dont let anybody tell you any different. I know this because I purchased a headache rack on the word on the recruiter saying they can be removed, got down there and was told if you dont like it go buy your own....so I did

Also, are you required to put a chain over the coil? Cuz I usually do 2 c chains, an x chain, and straps over the top depending on the weight.

This is true. My dad lived it....LOL Yeah I'm laughing cause I told him this is how it would work.
The way it goes is.....
L/P driver
O/O who owe money to Co.
those pulling CRST trailer
then O/O who own their own tractor/trailer.
I'm sure if a person could tough it out long enough and get in good with agents things would change, but waiting for that to happen could put you in bankruptcy.
My dad delivered in TX on Monday morning, my uncle delivered later in the week. They didn't offer my dad anything all week, Thursday came and they offered my uncle a load, they never called my dad. My uncle owed them money and is pulling their trailer...
Dad lasted two weeks...LOLDrtyDiesel and Travelinman Thank this. -
