Got a load from Ga to Illinois that delivers on monday for 1pm

    Shipper 42,350 (9.9 mpg 184mi deadhead)
    Recvr (8.9 mpg 687mi loaded)

Again im sitting waiting for this appointment its saturday afternoon . Load wont deliver till Monday 1pm . Maybe early unload maybe not according to reciever but i will try . Not looking forward to a 1pm unloading call puts me down the board again odds of a load nill

Total miles this week 2250. With 25 hrs available on my 70 (25hrs lost revenue the way i see it)

    Profit and loss statements

    Feb 53.46 cents a mile
    Mar 47.40 cents a mile
    Apr 41.73 cents a mile
    May 26.00 cents a mile
    June 42.46 cents a mile
    July 33.51 cents a mile

YTD Im averaging 40.33 cents a mile . Was kinda hoping for better number than that but it is what it is.
Those number are based on income before taxes . So i still owe uncle sam . My current qtrly taxes due is 2500.00 based on a 10,000 mile month thats equal to 2.5 cents a mile . So now im making 37.5a mile to the house.

I Remember somebody saying time and time again when you lease your nothing more than a company driver making truck payments. Guess they where right . My old employer paid me 40 a mile so now im losing .

That's true but it doesn't have to be that way though .. That huge truck note is your issue if you could finance you one on your own you'd easily bring home 300-400 a week more not to mention the savings on the insurance rate ( cheaper truck )
some will say its a new truck it's under warranty .. If you take care of a older truck say a 2005-2007 it will take care of you regular maint is the key with older units ..

The other thing I see is your miles seem to be low weekly 2200 or less on avg .. You need more productivity out of them .. Have you spoke with anyone higher up in ACT about your concerns ?

No i havent spoke to anybody except my DM . If they want me to have the miles they will give to me if not it is what it is. There are some that say some drivers arent cut out to lease . When your at the mercy of your DM and you dont get the miles how is that the drivers fault . Ive done everything they have asked me to do . I make my loads on time alot of times early (like today sittin again in Houston early). I get good fuel mileage. What else can you do has nothing to do with me . I have 4 mondays in a row without a load they keep telling me they dont have any . Out of those 4 mondays 2 of them were after sitting all weekend. Its killing me and they know it so there nothing i can do , i refuse to tap into my savings wont do it . Started this job with 5 fig in my acct . in case i got behind . But the way i see it i got time off that i didnt ask for , thats on them not me . They should be compensating me for the time off.

Get out of that crappy company, buy a truck and lease on somewhere like Landstar, where you dispatch yourself. No loads available over the weekend is just a stupid dispatcher. There is almost always freight lying around somewhere.
