I am pretty sure I'll be needing to compose one before too much longer the way things are going with my current company. I am sure many of us encounter the need to compose one during our driving careers. Just looking for ideas or samples that won't ruffle too many feathers on the way out.

My Pops wrote me a sample one yesterday. Just a plain sheet of paper with 2 big letters on it. Not the type I need.

that's right, we get no "resignation letter" when they fire us....

how many of us would appreciate a two week notice of being fired..???

    i would....!!!!

one is "hired at will"...one can leave "at will".....

    How about this:

    Dear Sir,
You have been the recipient of several complaints from this driver during my tenure here. I figure it's time I cut you some slack by taking my misery elsewhere.

Just make sure you have either transportation where you're quitting or being released from, or you have enough money to get you to a rental, bus stop, and the money for any and all things that you're taking with you because bus ticket price is cheap, but the baggage charges can make renting a car cheaper...from personal experience. Oh, and if you do rent, go with Enterprise. Keep a $500.00 overhead on your charge card, because you'll need that to rent it, and if you have the drive to do it, it's $150.00 for a 24 hour period. Went 1200 miles in about 19 hours to keep the cost at that amount. :D

What you need, is an exit strategy. Now if you are required, like one place I worked to submit written notice, just a-matter-of-fact statement will do.

If you signed any employment agreement for any kind of money hold back from your check, this is basically to get your money back and put them on the hook after you've done everything possible within the agreement.

    Good Luck

If you can swindel someone into signing the resignation or verifying it via Qualcomm that would be a insurance ticket once you leave and a false DAC surfaces.

I'm sure this thread could end up like that song "50 ways to leave your Lover". Which is great. The more options the better. Also good to see we can have some fun with this. I'm just plain miserable. It's not all on my employer either. Their system just isn't a good fit for my needs.
