you need to know somebody, or start knocking on doors and start at the bottom at who ever lets you in said door... I have my dad in, so when he fills in for a team, hes now on their list of drivers, and he always gives them my name and info to put me on the list as well.

Easyest way in without knowing anyone, get a job for the nascar experiance or any of the experiance schools and get you some experiance going in and out of the tracks, loading unloading cars, driving the cars, pulling a car hauler (some models like the all the ones my dad has pulled has the airtanks on the trailer BEHIND the axles so even the slightest curb, pothole or whatever will rip the tanks off, so you need to be VERY carefull pulling in and out of places and pick your truck stops wisely!) and while at the tracks talk to anyone and everyone associated with a nascar team you can, get yourself out there, thats how my dad got in.

Grasshopper, have you considered MBM? Nothing wrong with actually working for a nice paycheck.

Go back to lonestar. So what if they are getting plastic trucks! A good job, getting good experience, at a good company, making good money should be the main criterions. And I bet the trucks are stil great anyway.

way to much work for to little money, $55,000/yr average for LTL, and haveing to lump all that heavy stuff, to many opertunitys for an accident or injury. I work with a guy that did food service for 20+ years (as a UNION driver) and he said its not worth it, if they hadnt closed his terminal he'd still be their only for the union but he said the work sucks as much as i think it does. and they're still only home on weekends, and their trucks suck. lol way to many negitive things
