So I'm doing my first load of laundry at a USX terminal and I figure everything will be cool since I set my watch for 25 minutes while doing a 20 minute load. I go back to the computer room to work on my Pro Treads. When I return everything looks fine, I take out the wash and place it all in a dryer, go back to the lab. The next morning my trainer and I are rolling out early around 5 AM and after I wake up in the sleeper I reach for a nice clean pair of underwear that was supposedly washed in Markham. They feel a little weird but I'm thinking it's because I'm still half asleep and it's dark.
I drive all day. The next morning after having worn the 'fresh' skivvies for almost a day I am horrified to learn that they are not my own! Yup, some smartarse either threw a pair of size 30-32 underwear into the washer or dryer in Illinois, as a joke. I'm only hoping they were thrown in the washer. But they didn't look all too clean and I'll never know if it was me or some other guy.
{{{{{{{{GROSSED OUT}}}}}}}}
So you got me whoever you are, and maybe you're reading this. Thanks for the lesson, I'll never leave my laundry unattended again. But while you may think this is funny, it's pretty childish to screw with a man's laundry like that. Jerk.
Anyway, does anyone else have any stories to share about laundry pranks?

It might have been an innocent mistake. Maybe they thought it belonged to you.

My first thought was that they were either already in the washer or dryer when you put your clothes in. If it was just one pair of undies, then most likely the last person who washed or dried their clothes didn't check well enough when they got their clothes out & left them in there by mistake. They were probably behind the agitator or either right in front against the drum.
In the end when you either washed or dried your clothes, they simply got mixed in with yours.
On a side note, never, ever leave your clothes unattended. You are lucky someone did steal your clothes while no one was looking &/or you weren't around. Then your stuck out on the road without clothes or you have to go to the expense of buying new clothes to get you home.
I thought everyone knew that.CAXPT, NavigatorWife and Big Don Thank this. -
