    Ok deleted all logs, fired everything up,started the download,said it had 32 files to download,would take over 4hrs?
    Anyways went to bed and when I checked this morning the dock is hung up at about half of the download. I have 50Mb internet so I know its not that.
    Any suggestions???

    in the folder where you deleted the Log files... send me the log file from yesterday/today.

    The situation being that your friend received this off of E-Bay as a gift. Yes, there are authorized dealers on E-Bay. Whom did they buy from? Second it was a gift to you from your friend. These are questions that are being discussed.

    Policy is that if off of E-Bay that the seller be an authorized dealer.
    Policy is that the warranty does not transfer between owners.

    I know you are a "3rd" party in all this and I did send an E-Mail to the supervisor of Customer Support. They are in training and I should have an answer back within a few days I hope.

    I do not set Policy and yes Rand is aware you are willing to pay, but Customer Support has policy they go by and it is in their hands at this time.

    Having trouble importing POIs to my TND 510. The file is transfered but when you start and import the database, the locations read counter remains at 0. Software version is 12.4.2428.2149 and Dock version is 1.0.4561.24705. I am using the second method (street address) and I do not have zip codes on all of them. Any ideas anyone?

    I spoke to my husband about the mileage problem. As I said, I ran the update and also installed the map update. Then when my husband used it he noticed that there is a problem with the mileage and time on the map screen.

    He said, when you enter a destination, after it calculates, the mileage to the destination and the time to destination shows in the upper right corner. The problem is that the mileage does not tick off as you go down the road. Destination may start at 900 miles and 20 miles down the road it still shows 900 miles to go. Then all of a sudden maybe 50 miles down the road the mileage ticks off some of the miles and it shows less than 900, then it gets stuck on that number for a long time again, etc and etc. The time that shows when first starting out stays at that time. It never changes, it stays at either 9 hours or 18 hours the whole trip.

    I would appreciate it if you could tell me what we have to do to fix this so that when he gets home again we can get it straightened out. I would hate for him to have to keep using the spare units. We have 3 units but could only pay for one LTM and that is on the one he can't use now.

    Once you import via the Dock and disconnect from the computer you MUST be connected to an AC source. It will boot up and ask you to import the POI's. If it does not I would try another POI file to make sure it is working.

    You can E-Mail me the POI file from your computer and I can check it here also.

    I am taking it that he means once in a route, in the upper right - the blue box and he is set to "arrival time"?

    Have him click on the speed indicatior and go to the Dashboard and on the top row is ETA, see if that changes and also on the bottom it shows current leg, see if that changes.

    He may have to Dock and and under Tools run Diagnostics & Repair.

    My 710 is 2 months old. Yesterday it froze. I reset it. Then it got stuck on the boot screen, then winked out. Will not turn back on. had to go to a truck stop and pay their bloated price for a 510, the only one they had. I suppose RM will fix my broken one? For $400 they should give me a new one IMO. I have heard these units are unreliable. Now I know first hand. Great unit when they DO work.
