Started working for Enterprise Transportation on September 4, 2012. We are a bulk liquid (tanker) company. They have about 1,000 trucks. I drive out of the Parker, PA terminal. Enterprise Transportation is a small part of Enterprise Products (NYSE EPD). EPD is huge NG, and pipeline company headquartered in Houston, TX.

I started driving in 2006. Previous employers were Falcon Transport (9-months), Roehl Transport (3-months), Superior Carriers (4 years 3 months), DistTeck (7-weeks), Joy Cone Company (2.5-monthws).

Most recently I was with Joy Cone delivering Ice Cream Cones.

Looking forward to this thread. What terminal did you run out of for Superior? We probably started about the same time with them.

So am I. I decided to hire on with Superior back in April, but Enterprise was a very close second. I've been to Markham several times and haven't had any trouble with anybody there, at least not so far...

Frock, just curious: why did you leave DistTech?

Superior's equipment is much better than Enterprises. Most of the trlrs that Enterprise have are trlrs that they aqquired when they bought out another company. They are still runing trlrs from Sicomac Carriers, Ford Brothers, Boncosky, these trlrs are ancient and not particularily well maintained. They may look good going past you at 60 mph, just dont get to close, something may fall off of it.

So Frock you worked for Daddy Wendell and his illegitimate son Dave. Let me be the first to offer my condolences. Too bad you were not there when the guy that ran dispatch before Dave was there, he knew his business and stood up for his drivers. He would not let you sit in Markham for days on end, he would have them send you home or somewhere else to get a load. Last I knew that dispatcher was working for A&R Transport, but that has been awhile.

Markham was the Black Hole. It was a low blow when they got rid of direct billing at the Comfort Inn. It got to the point where Chicago was loads were strictly out and back. Made no sense to sit at Markham for 2-days and then get a Kankakee to Cincinnati.

I never had trouble with people at Markham. It seemed like you would always get stuck there at least a couple days. When you finally got dispatched it was usually a low mile run. Invariably it had either a miserable pick up time or delivery time. I bet anyone whoever worked for Superior could go on and on with Markham stories. I was out of DistTech's Neville Island terminal. Every (and I am not exaggerating) load was resin and a pump off. Running from Neville to Akron, Erie, and Bedford on mileage pay kind of sucked.

Funny stuff! Generally, I like to bash people. But, in my book Wendell and Dave are tough to beat as far as bosses and dispatchers go.
