Does anyone know what the exact qualifications for U.S. Xpress is. I have a 2 month suspension on my liscense from 2004. That suspension resulted from an accident and a speeding ticket 18miles over in 2004. I've been denied by several different companies already, and U.S. said that there should be no problem 5 min after reviewing the info. I'm afraid that i'm going to get to orientation and them tell me oop's the girl on the phones didn't know what she was talking about sorry. then i'm out of a job. I'm graduating form a PDTI certified school in dec but this seems to make no different. I know that companies have to have guidelines b/c of insurances but gee's i'm starting to feel hopeless.

I was at USX and left there for more miles and pay but here is what I know, USX only cares about the last three years although they look back further than that. I think if I were you, I would have a concrete answer from one of their background investigators.

USX does one of the most extensive backgrounds I have seen. I sort of felt like I was applying for the FBI. But this told me that they only hire a certain "breed" which is a good thing. Whatever you do, tell them EVERYTHING even if you dont think it will matter. I saw way too many guys get cut at orientation for very minor things.

If you are concerned about the suspension, I would get a court or state disposition document and send it to them. Once they review it, they can give you a "yea" or "nea" and a little piece of mind.

    Good luck!

try jb hunt and crst = the dirtbag companies are leanient, do a year with them and let time pass- let your offense become 5 years old and you should be able to get in with a good company

talk to the actual people in human resources and have them let you know -- the recruiters are liars- they will say whatever they can to get u there== us is supposed to be a better company = if they take you stay with them --- BUT try swift, crst, jb, covenant, shneider all the dirtbags, crengland == they are more interested in moving freight than safety == so in your case that will benefit you, but definately be sure 3 years has gone by and i am sure crst will take you , when i awas at orientation they had a guy with 4 dwis and they took him, they also have a guy that is out on parole with a letter from the jdge and p.o. officer stating he can travel. he has to keep the letter on him at all times. he had a felonie robbery and also identity theft.

Well I am going to tell you that all of the companies mentioned actually do not hire you till they hand you the keys to the truck ( i have worked for USX). They all will tell you pretty much anything to get you into orientation and then after that you will find out if you are really hired or not... I seen grown men crying because they had quit their job and went to orentation to for USX just to be sent home.....
