If I was at a depressing commpany that had givin me a truck with pissy beds and rotted smelly carpets and after a few weeks couldn't handle it any more. What can I do if they won't let you bring the truck back even with a load so you could get home without worrying about a dac or csa for leaving the truck. Could I go over there heads and call a number to look out for my well being. I have a friend ovr that's in this boat and needs help with a rotten company.

Take the truck back anyway and take pictures of how you (he) left it when you quit. Maybe while he is out he should be looking elsewhere

Company wont let him bring the truck back?, Are you (him) a company driver?, Or?, did you (him) sign some kind of contract on the truck?, why would anyone leave the yard with a truck like that?

Tell'em you're coming in, full or empty. That you have issues with the company and the equipment, that aren't being addressed..

But make sure your fuel tanks are full before you do this, hate to have them shut off your fuel card, and you're a thousand miles away.....

Reads like the company wants loads delivered at the expense of driver comfort.

Give them notice as required and tell them why! If they don't care you will be routed back for voluntary termination (as to avoid a bad DAC) If they do care they will fix any issues with the truck.

if the truck is as bad as stated why did ur friend sign off on it and take it. when i went to pick up my truck at the terminal they tried to give me a truck that was beat to all hell. i was goin to take it just to get runnin then thought about it i deserve better then this junk. i wrote an email to a person at the company hq and he passed it on to who it needed to be passed to and it got handled. i ended up with a newer and in way better shape truck. this was with a mega carrier bottom feeder and it ended up goin in my favor.

as for quitin give notice bring the truck back turn everything in if they bad DAC the person appel it. make documentation of dates and times and use it in the appel

WRONG WRONG WRONG. Take the truck to a lawyer. If the truck is unlivable get it to a witness and have your lawyer contact the company. Do not do this yourself. Ever. You want protection from the fine folks at HIRERIGHT. A lawyer will do this. Usually for free. If it has pee in it, it is a bio hazard. Trucking companies have deep pockets and so do their insurance companies. Get thee to a lawyer son.
