overweight ticket

    looking for some help....been otr for 2 yrs now....currently with arnold....just got my first....and hopefully my last overweight ticket in georgia on I16 heading to port wentworth...was 2k over on my rear axel...dot told me in georgia i wasnt able to slide tandems to make correction....but if my dispatch allowed me...i could break seal and try too move load....lol....(yea right)...needless to say...i got a ticket for $100 bucks....but dot said it goes to company and there would be no points on my license for it....i already know ill have to pay fine....but my main concern if it goes on csa....a dac or what....i was just getting ready to leave arnold and go be a lead....will this hinder me any how?...any feedback will be much appericated

    If you got the ticket you will have to pay. I would make sure you pay and verify with the state at a later date they did receive the monies and the ticket has been paid. Get some sort of verification from the state.

    You did not weigh after you picked up?

    no...didnt weigh after pu...just thought tandems were in a good hole for weight...thought wrong...i usually do weigh....didnt this time...and it bit me inn the ###...that wont happen again

    Arnold shouldnt put it on your DAC. DAC is used for things like accidents or speeding tickets (unsafe driving), and truck/trailer maintenance. Overweight tickets shouldnt get put on there, but even if they do I don't see it hindering any future employment. I mean, a company that sees an overweight ticket would probably ask you what the deal was, and you'd reply "I didn't weigh my load one time, and I learned my lesson...yadda yadda..." No biggie from what I can see..

    They dont put that on dac record or driving record.

    If there was an inspection and a ticket for overweight it will appear as a failed inspection on you PSA so check with a reporting company hire right will give you a free DAC report. It is minimal points but it does show up not looked upon as as serious as an accident or such.

    Got an overweight in Utah and that never appeared on my CSA/DAC/MVR. I just payed the fine and moved on.
