It was legal for.most states though -
even in a state that allows 12000 i would think 20 lbs would be let go by DOT but if not it shouldnt be too hard to move that 20 to the drives

yeah and the nice thing about being on the steers is that youll probably burn that off in fuel if your not 5 minutes from the scale house anyways. I know hearsay is only hearsay but ive heard drivers saying that they have gotten away with a 100 lbs on axles before

Quite frankly I have never moved.my.5th wheel so the steers are what the steers are... I do have prepass so that helps considerably in not going through many coops.

i have pre pass also so i dont get called in much unless im running in oregon but the only time i moved my 5th wheel was a beer load and all it did was screw me so i moved it back to the original spot and have never moved it since

im in a pro star right now and even with full tanks anything under 35000 im usually under weight and dont have a problem but will still scale anything over 30 jsut to be safe. of course that will change when i get into another truck

I am in a T2000 and my.company reimburces me for scale tickets... I scale every load, why wouldn't I? Of.course I have never had anythimg under 30000 either.
One shipper even requires us to show up empty with a scale ticket in hand.nascarchuck Thanks this.
