I saw that too and have turned it in to the GIS department.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of poi and where did you get the file? I've used files out of the POI Factory with no problems nor issues. Set them up as alerts for red-light and speed cameras.

The file is good. There are three different file structures for a POI file.
    1. Lat/Long
    2. Street Address
    3. All information

Most of the files you get off of POI-Factory are Lat/Long type of files. When you import them via the Dock to the TND the file gets renamed xxxx.csv to xxxx.std.csv and the TND does install them correctly.

On street view it shows the Custom POI files being imported, but not converted internally by the Dock to xxxx.std.csv, thus the TND does not show any files being loaded when you turn it on.

I tried his file here and I get the same. It was narrowed down to the Dock not doing the converting.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Thanks for the help Mark, but still no go. I think I may have gotten the address book & history onto the computer(all I care about is those two) but not sure. I tried to drag & drop to the same destination on the new 720 but nothing shows up when I go to the address book. Any other suggestions? TIA! Corky

Do not drag and drop... copy and paste. If you drag and drop it will place a shortcut on the TND and not the actual file.

    Thanks,
    Mark

There are batch file converters available at the POI Factory and other places for the different types of csv poi files. Also for csv to xml as well.

The file is in the correct .csv format. When the Dock imports them into the TND it adds a .std.csv into the conversion. This is not taking place, so when you turn on the TND it does not "build" them correctly for the TND to be seen.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Sorry Mark, still can't get it to transfer. Now my old one is saying "the license for the selected map database is invalid or expired", so I can't even manually re-enter the info to my new one (albeit a lengthy task). Any suggestions? TIA! Corky

I use teamviewer to remote.. Send me an E-mail and I will send you the link to download this. I then can remote into your TND's and correct the issue.

    Thanks,
    mark
