Going there to get a fridge is like cutting off your toe to get a free shoe.

My truck does not have a fridge... it does however have two 12v coolers, a microwave, a lunchbox oven, a foreman grill and other assorted acutraments and gadgets...

The best thing about all that too is that if I move on, it all comes with me!

And as an added bonus for the rest of us drivers and the motoring public in general...

We don't have to worry about you shifting

Well I have worked M-F and now am part of the worthless night and weekend crew.
I'm not sure who works harder. I won't convince anyone here, but the inside crew works VERY hard. There are some that sluff off, but it's an air that's bred by management style.
I won't sit here and defend (much) what we do, but I have to say my eyes were opened greatly when I moved inside.
And in a fair (my opinion) turn about, I understand much more now why the attituded towards so many drivers by the inside people is so low.
As an example, just from today....
Driver calls. He's at a low bridge on a two lane dirt road in Nebraska. "Why are you on that road?"
"My qualcom said I should go this way."
"Didn't it seem odd to you that you were turning onto a dirt road?"
"But my qualcom said I should."
"If your qualcom says drive into the river, would you?"
    "But my qualcom said so."

Driver calls needing fuel. He's run out. Dry on the side of the road, regardless that he passed at least 8 truck stops in the last 60 miles.
    "Why didn't you get fuel?"
"My qualcom didn't tell me to."
    "Don't you watch your guage?"
"No, I just follow my qualcom."

Or how about the 9 (I counted them) drivers that called asking how to get from one point to the other.
"My qualcom didn't give me directions."
"Did you look at your map?"
"I never do. I follow my navicom"
    Or...
"Why haven't you gone to your pickup? it was scheduled for two hours ago."
"I didn't know when I was suppose to be there. The qualcom said 1600. My watch only goes to 1200."

So you see, there are plenty of idiots out there on both sides of the wall.
