Just to let you know, Mark is the "Go-To-Guy" for all things TND. I recently availed myself of the trade-in offer on the new TND720's. Unit arrived & following directions from Mark & others I attempted to transfer my address book from my old 700 to my new 720. This is very important to me as I go to a lot of places that aren't technically on the map (hot-mix plants, & large refineries & other odd ball places) & I have amassed a pretty extensive collection that would be a major hassle to recreate manually. After attempting a transfer, to no avail, I then booted up the old 700 to get the addresses off of that & proceed manually. Much to my chagrin I had bunged up the old unit where I couldn't even access my address book. Mark came to my rescue, & using remote access, he transferred my data to my new unit saving me a major headache. Thanks to Mark I'm up & running & heading out to play with my new toy.

If you just bought the TND-720 from the last promo of trade in your old TND for a TND-720 at a reduced cost, please note that the TND-720 does come with LTM's.

If you bought/buy the TND-720 (aside from the trade-in promo) from an authorized dealer you need to send in form also to get LTM's.

If you bought (since July 1st)/buy the TND-510, currently it also has the LTM's offer. You would need to send in the LTM's form.

If you purchased LTM's separately. Please forward the E-Mail to me (E-Mail address in signature) you got in regards to that LTM's order.

    1. TND-720 (trade in TND for the TND-720 Promo).
    2. Any TND-720 bought from an authorized dealer
    3. Any 510 (bought since July 1st)

Here is the Link. You need to print out the form and mail it in. As suggested make a copy for yourself and date it the day you send in the form. It will take 6-8 weeks and you should get an E-Mail with information about LTM at that time. If it goes past 8 weeks let me know.

Scroll down to the brown box and click on "click on" to get the PDF file that you would need to print out.

    Thanks,
    Mark

If you bought the TND-720 on the last Promo of buy the TND-720 for your TND (trade-in), remember you have 30 days from receipt of the TND-720 to get your TND trade-in back to Rand.

I would suggest you make a copy/write down the tracking number of the return label and track it. Once it arrives at Rand, make a copy of that page off the website and keep it for your records. Things do happen and things do get "lost". If Rand does not receive your trade-in within 30 days you will be charged full price for the TND-720. The copy of the webpage of the tracking number showing received at Rand would be great proof.

If due to time issues of getting home feel free to contact me either by PM or E-Mail with your Name and reason you may not make it home in time to send in the trade-in. I will forward that to Rand.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Well it finally happened. My power cord on my 510 is loose. If i plug it in the gos all the way the power light flashes or goes out completely and screen dims while driving. If i pull it out just slightly it stays on but if the road is rough enough the cord comes out. Guess thats what i get for not doing the trade in deal for the 720. Cant afford the time without it to send it in under warranty. Guess ill wait till it gets bad and just buy a 720 and sell this one on ebay or in a t/s parking lot.

Ill try the "pinch it down" with pliers trick. Maybe that'll work for it.

Squeezing the plug trick, or replacing just the cord should do it in most cases.

Ill try the squeeze as i have the traffic plug and its the one hooked to gps. The stock gps plug is plugged into the traffic receiver plug. So cant really replace that piece for less than $80. Lol. Is the problem the plug or the gps? From you answer i would guess its the plug from pluging in and out and bouncing down the highway. It just gets loose and wears out? Not the USB port on the GPS itself?
