    Ummmm... no you don't...

My younger brother competes in BBQ competitions. He has appeared on TV on Grill Masters, and his Ribs came in 4th place at the Jack Daniel Invitational World BBQ Championship in 2010...

Not saying yours are not good... but Dan can cook some meat!

Thanks nascarchuck, glad to be here. Never been to jalapeno tree so I cant say. Chile Verde Has a small Garden at the back of the place growing cilantro, jalapeños,tomatoes and the like. My wife and I spoke to the owner and his parents work the kitchen and they seem to take pride in the fact everything is from scratch as it can get. Man I like good salsa... It's hotter some days than others but that's the way real fresh salsa is to me.

FozzyBear, nascarchuck and TRKRSHONEY Thank this.

Electrial problems today... stopped at 9:30am to use the facilities... truck wouldn't start... finallt fixed. Turns out it was the little black anti theft relay they use so you have to hit the resume switch to start it so they bypassed it and its good to go... very strange however that the truck starts when you turn the key.

This was all done with Stevens blessing believe it or not... must want the meat delivered on time.

Cool! Im gonna have to try it! Thanks for the info!

I can usually tell if a Mexican joint is going to be any good by the salsa.

Cool! While I have never cooked in a comp, I have many friends that do. Most of them do very well in the comps.

Have you tried the BBQ at the yard off of the BBQ trailer? That is Brett Gallaway. He cooks BBQ comps but his main thing is that he cooks at steak competitions. Have you seen the TV commercial for WalMart steaks that he appears in?

Can ya believe it? Stevens has a World Champion Steak cooker cooking BBQ at the yard??? Here are a couple of his WalMart commercials.

But yes, if your brother even got to the JD comp much less placed, he is good! I guess that his Q is probably a tad better than mine... :D

Does anyone know if the T680's have started to show up? I pulled out of the Petro here in Raphine when the truck was done and moved over to the Wilco... not quite as busy a place you lnow... so as I was turning out a Stevens truck was turning in and it was a really #### shiny KW that I only caught a glimpse of as I was passing, but it didn't look like a T700.

    It had Alliance numbers.

Anyway if they are maybe I can get rid of this pig in the mot too distant future... LOL... really it is not that bad when it runs, but it's starting to spend a bit more time sidelined with issues. It is an 09 T2000 and I am around 7000 miles short if a half mil...

If the new trucks are arriving and being assigned, there has to be something a little newer and with a few less miles.coming open...

I have tried his BBQ, very good... I actually talked to him a little bit...

I would give you a link to the website for Dans team, but it is a royal pain on the phone... but if you google 3eyz BBQ it will come up.

I think that I have seen the team name before. I am on a couple of BBQ message boards. May have seen one of them there as one of the boards has alot of teams from up north around NY and that part of the country.

Just stay away from the BBQ in the DFW area as you wont find anything good. But if you get down around the hill country (Austin to San Antonio) there is supposed to be some really good Q.

I know that's right! That's the first thing in my head in a new joint... Test the salsa. It's like licking your finger and sticking it in the air to sense where it's coming from. I just had a bad thought... I love Mexican food. Texas and in particular San Antonio will be hard to be away from for long halls. No one will understand this unless your from here. Oh well. :)
