They probably have all of the trucks converted to the new Q/C system by now so things may have changed but when I was there the trucks that ran paper logs got a recommended route and the trucks that were e-log only got the opti stop and you had to trip plan off of the opti stops yourself.
Not sure how it is with the new Q/C's...

They send the route to the new ones now. Plus it updates all the drops/picks and fuel stops into the built in gps.
nascarchuck Thanks this. -
You do have to decipher those directions... I swear they are the most confusing thing... I still pull out the Atlas... then check the fuel stops... then plug into the gps both shortest and quickest routes, then see if there is a great difference in the miles, verify the one thay makes the most sense against the map, then match the end directions to the reciever on the gps to the qc... then I put my trip plan together... where to spend the night... A and D times etc..

I have been out with trainer who have done the same runs so often they just run what the Qc says and only check it down the road later. I was just told to follow the instructions and put us on an extra toll road we didn't need to be on. Trainer took responsibility as he automatically skips that but didn't tell me about it. It wasn't an EZ pass road either so it was cash out of pocket for him. The built in gps doesn't have an option to avoid toll roads, that's another thing I can check in my software so I can decide if I can bypass some tolls. I've never had a problem getting reimbursed on the company side, but on Alliance you only get a third back and sometimes the miles or time it saves doesn't make sense.

Still sitting here. They replaced a part and cummings is making them do the same diagnostics over and over because they do not want to replace the whole DEF system which is apparently the only way to fix this. So we sit outside the bay doing another regen so they can document once again that the pressure doesn't stay where it is supposed to. By the time they get us out of here all we will need is a load back to Dallas so I can move on to OR2.

Hi guys. Hope everybody is doing well and safe. I am planning to go to Stevens next year in March. I was reading in the Stevens webpage and they have tanker division, my question is if after all the training that I will go through with Stevens can I be transfer after 6 months of OTR training to the Tanker division? Like I said before I already have my CDL with tanker and hazmat. Can some of you help me with these question? Thanks in advance for all your help. Be safe out there and keep making money

Ok, another part is on the way. Nobody can tell me what part it is or if Cummins decided to replace the whole pump. We (fingers crossed in the air) should be out of here tonight. I'll believe it when it happens.
