my dealings with a broker yest. TQL , called on a load going 1284 miles paying 1550, told me he had 1625 in the load, i could'nt believe it, so i made some calls and found the shipper, he actually had 2625 in the load. called him back later in the day to let him know i still had a truck available and could do it for 2400 where he lied some more saying he did'nt have it in their witch i countered in letting him know exactly what he had in it. he procedes to let me know that he's just doing his job (lying) and that he knows the market will bear a much lesser amount.

we as O/O need to know BEP and a fair price to haul for, this is the first time i caught a broker lying to me, i am so displeased with this Co. and their business practices.

Stop hauling for them and they go out of business... The equation is simple.

At the above post about TQL. Not that I will say good or bad about TQL. However, this might not be the first time they have pulled this trick out of the ol' hat! You stated that they were lying, could that be so??? (sarcasm) Take them out of your black book, solves it every time..

this seems to be the problem, as you state" not that I will say good or bad about tql" take a stand.......TQL reminds me of 20 yr old used car salesmen

....Twice TQL called me ans stated that the load was cancelled by the customer....well the second time, I was doing paperwork in the truck..and I was the the only truck in the the large lot...then another tractor pulls in, and the driver yels at me"Could you tell me where the shipping office is?".....so I tell him...then I ask him," what are you loading and where is it going?"
....he proceeds to tell me....I said to hi," That was the load I was going to load", "but it was cancelled by the customer"...
...obviously TQL FOUND ANOTHER truck..and this guy took the load.....

....I ask him," A TQL Load?"...he responds yes...
....I ask" are you an Owner Operator?" ...he responds yes...

.....I ask him..."Do you mind me asking what you are getting paid for that load"....he says no..."here I 'll show you the Rate Conformation Sheet"....
.....I look at it ...then Pull out my Load Conformation sheet ( that was cancelled)......
.....Well....it was a surprise to both of us that TQL sold the load to him for $240.00 less than me...
    .....we both were quite agitated....
.....he apologized...stating he thought he negotiated a good rate...then we both agreed that he MUST move the load..
    1) to continue to haul for TQL...
    2) to continue for him to have a good reputation...as a carrier...
    ....we both agreed...

....I was angry....At that point, I didn't care...I found another load approx. 20 miles away...and it paid the approx. going rate..

.....So still to this day...I won't haul for TQL...ever...
    ....TQL PROVED TO ME ,
THEY DO SCUM BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS LIKE THIS..
    NO BOTHER DEALING WITH THEM...

At least $2.50, getting out of NJ you won't get good rates.
