Stevens Transport aviary

Here are a couple of suggestions that would improve efficiency quite a bit. The new phone system should be voice activated. If we absolutely need to reach someone while driving (I know, we shouldn't do that, but this is the real world.) we shouldn't need to prees "2" for whatever. In fact it's against the law. But if we can say "2" and get to the same place, that sticks to the law, because I can call Stevens by voice command, but I can't make a choice that way. Secondly, and more importantly, when people from the office call, leave a message! If you call me and do not leave a message it may be that I did not answer because I didn't feel it was safe at the moment to distract myself, but if all I see is "Missed call from Stevens" we may both lose out.

If I had a nickle for every call from Stevens that failed to leave a message, I could afford to eat at the Barbeque wagon on thursday!
Drives me crazy too.

 

Should it take over an hour to reach safety. I can only imagine if it wad an emergency.

To your point though I heard a comedian one time.doing skit about why not to drunk text with spell check on... Said his girlfriend was pretty pissed about getting a text at 3 am and even more confused about why he wanted to kick her puppy.

 

Randy in night safety is a moron. Guy told me to drive with no hours. I refused. Then he threatened to make me pay for tow truck and mess up my d a c report. Needless to say I'm kinda mad. Have lots of calls to make today to Stevens.

What a joke this company is. Preach safety all day long and then tell drivers to drive illegally. He has the audacity to tell me Houston police don't even know about logs. Lol

 

Why are you blaming Randy for circumstances due to your lack of planning your day effectively? I am quite sure there is more to the story here, as Randy has always been one of the better people in safety to deal with.

 

Kroger taking 5 hours to unload is not my fault. Driving with no hours is illegal and I'm not doing it.

I got a funny reply from Driver Services when I asked why I keep getting Qualcomm messages to pick up my seniority award when they do not have any and haven't had any the last 3 times Ive been back to the yard: "That's why we have a suggestion box". Not sure if she was being sarcastic, ...but I laughed.

Can we get a macro for "suggestion box" usage?

Really my frustration with electronic logs: there should be allowances for such instances as it happens all the time despite how much planning you do!
