Its amazing how many of you ignornat drivers missed the point of his post. Its got nothing to do with being a tough guy or not. Take that bullcrap to the truckstop diner. Stupid comments like that remind me everyday of the reasons why I left the industry.

Keep it rolling you big badazz truck driver. Dont trip over your chain wallet. :biggrin_2559:

Smaggs, I like to work for money, but I MUST be treated with respect. In all the fun and travels over the road, I have a suggestion for you. Go back to Knight, Bring your camera, I know you want to see all your old friends at KR. There is no friendlier company.

There is truth to his statement though. Around here, a lot of the tri-axle drivers have to do at least some maintenance on their trucks. A couple of companies I've applied to in the past expected a driver to grease and help out with light repairs (changing filters, etc).

have not been in truckstop diner for many years
our mechanics put plastic on seats some times
put on snow chains a couple times in a day and i bet your floor gonna get dirty.
lot of steering wheel holders are complacent and dont have a clue.
maybe he oughta through a tarp on his bunk when he goes in the yard.
lotta griping about bad maintenace on equipment so they gonna gripe either way

Has Smaggs left TTR? I was off for a few days....I see he hasn't returned thus far.

I'm hoping he's just having a low point. I had that last week....struggling with my wife over something stupid, as usual. But it can weigh you down and distort your vision.

I tried to tell him Marten sucked but he would not listen. Told him he would get treated like crap.
