Watched the episode on Saturday night - my god, why don't Prospero Productions go looking for some real "professional drivers" and not some ####### cowboys. That sheila running 2-up in the CT630 CAT for GKR shoulda been dragged over the coals for ignoring the warning lights and the rail crossing lights cause "some dummy in a car slowed down to stop at the RED flashing lights. Thats why they put those advance warning lights there....so 80 ton roadtrains can stop in time !!!! FFS

Lets hope the upcoming shows have better drivers than that one. Sure doesn't make our industry look good seeing such "professionalism" like that :biggrin_25513:.
I guess its more aimed at the US Market with the name "Truckers" rather than "Truckies" eh?

The show isn't about professionalism its about driving in the out back and the adventures they get up to wouldn't it be kind of boring watching drivers just mozzie along doing everything right, ever watched Ice road truckers ? the same deal there you see all the do's and don'ts thats what makes the show what its is.

Oh when i wrote that Rage, I meant like...thought the show was destined for the US market....'cause we is known as Truckies over here....not Truckers. And yeah, scripted...they only show bits n bobs, not the whole 9 yards !!!

Prospero Productions get real. You should never of let the GKR incident go to air.We are not all cowboy/cowgirl drivers. GKR I hope you took the right action and sacked her.The transport industry has been damaged enough with out you showing this on tv.

I know a few guys that were on the ice roads when the first 2 seasons of Ice Road Truckers were filmed. They way I heard it is that they wore out their welcome with Tli Cho/Landtran and weren't allowed back for a third. It's not about safety, it's about ratings.

As a driver who left Australia over 30 years ago for Canada and drove the roads of Western Canada and the Western US and lived through the Ice Road Truckers and Worlds Most Dangerous Roads garbage I was not at all surprised that Outback truckers lived up to my very low expectations. Any one looking to watch the show needs to turn off the sound and enjoy the scenery. Back in Aussie now and looking forward to getting back on the Big Road..Ex Trimac Transportation Kamloops BC
