Drinkers, cigarette smokers & overeaters are more dangerous behind the wheel than users of the harmless herb, which isn't detrimental to one's health or cause a lasting hangover the morning after. I MUCH prefer it to the legal anti-anxiety chemicals & antidepressants I'll be forced to go back on since its impossible to use cannabis without it showing up on a drug test.

So...my question is: Anybody know if Crete tests hair? I ordered HairConfirm to test my own so I don't fail a hair test. I quit smoking pot 40 days ago & didnt realize these companies were testing hair until Roehl told me they do. And anybody know the consequences of failing one company's hair test? Is that a black mark that would follow me when I apply elsewhere?

USA Truck does random hair test on people just starting, out of like 20 new hires they will do 1 or 2 hair test.

Also by law they can only go back 90 days but depending on your body weight and how active you are pot generally gets out of the body in 22 to 28 days....sometimes quicker. Cocain is out of your system in like 3 or so day, same with pills and such.

I will say, I was a huge pot smoker untill I had kids and IMO it should be legal. I'd much rather have a person who smokes a little weed on the road than a geeked out coke head or somebody all hopped up on 5~8 Monster Energy drinks. I think that they need to focus on testing methods and come up with a way to pinpoint when something was used before they should be able to test for it. But that is me. I for one do nothing now, my kids, wife, and family give me a natural high and sense of worth that replaced all my younger immature activities. I think it should be legal but wld not smoke it if it were.

Regarding your other question, a failed drug test, hair OR urine can be the proverbial end of your driving career. Although the DOT doesn't recognize hair testing (yet), the carrier can report the failed test to HireRight which in turn can put it on your DAC. Yes, it's possible to come back after a positive test but only after jumping through hoops for years, psychological evaluations, additional testing, counseling, a suspended CDL, great expense and other considerations, Many carriers won't even consider you after a failed test. Your best bet is to remain completely clean for your health and others on the road. Yes, the law is wrong in many instances but when it comes to federal standards and laws we either abide or don't drive commercially. Consider a worst-case scenario - you have some pot in your system from partaking on your day off. Someone hits you and dies, although no fault of your own. You're drug tested (automatically) and the pot shows. The deceased family's attorney will see you in prison as it will be assumed (use constitutes abuse) you were under the influence at the time of the accident, making it your fault. Simply not worth it even if it is wrong.

I will not get into the weed vs alcohol debate because I think there is a more important item to look at here. The OP has demonstrated that he just does not care about the rules and laws. What other shortcuts will he take? It's really stupid to smoke a substance that will end your career 2 months before finding a company to work for. Personally I hope he gets busted and will have to pay back every dime any company has spent on this guy. We just do not need non thinking drivers.

    T...Street Thanks this.

I agree with you that no driver partaking in mind-altering substances should be driving. The industry has enough problems without adding to the mix. I think of the testing as a weeding process. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't.

    T...Street and Lilbit Thank this.

I would think that someone who doesn't wish to be judged, wouldn't air their personal business on a public forum.
