By RickSt: Congrats to Ultrikeflyer and all this weeks new Maverick drivers. I saw them all this morning when I got to the yard.[/QUOTE]
Thanks Rick and to all of the other members that guided me in my choice to go with Maverick!
Meeting up with my trainer on Monday evening at Zero Mountain in Lowell, AR. to begin my journey. I'm looking forward to it and just hope I don't cause him to grow to many grey hairs while I'm learning. I will post as often as I can to update everyone.
And Awaaaaay we go!

If you're lucky he'll be as bald as you are. You already know you're older.

For those of you who think going TCD would make you fat and lazy...I'm still losing weight. I thought I had started gaining some back because it seems like I snack all the time but the scales don't lie. Maybe it's because ever since my bypass surgery, Ive become consciously aware of everything I eat both good and bad and do a better job of balancing it out. It's certainly not my metabolism. I take plenty of drugs to keep it slowed down.

Yesterday I loaded at Odom's in Little Rock then drop and hooked last night in Lebanon TN. I was preplanned out of La Vergne going to Greenfield IN. I loaded it this morning and tried to deliver it today but they wouldn't take it so I came back to the Pilot, which is only a mile away.
Tonight my reefer unit is set at 55 degrees. That means it will run very little if at all because the outside temp is colder and when it does run, it'll be to heat and not cool. Is a reefer still a reefer when it's a heater?
I've heard Maverick has already sent some flat bedders home because of lack of freight. We rarely have that problem.Last edited: Nov 7, 2012

Delivered up in Dubuque Iowa Monday. That went down to the quads and loaded up plates going to Rome Georgia. Delivered the steel plates then picked up a load of two by fours going to St. Henry's Ohio. Reloaded coil going to precision strip in Alabama for Monday. All in all nice week.
Have a great weekend, drive safe and enjoy the ride. -
Congratulations and welcome to all the new drivers.
