WELL ERNEST I AM PROBABLY GOING TO MAKE SOME OF THE "BRAINWASHED" AVERITT PEOPLE MAD BUT HERE WE GO. I WORKED AT AVERITT FOR SEVERAL YEARS. I WRKED IN TRUCKLOAD FOR 4 YEARS AND THE REST WAS ON ONE OF THE DEDICATED ACCOUNTS. THE TRUCKLOAD DIVISION IS NOTHING MORE THAN BASICLY A TAX WRITE OFF FOR THE REST OF THE COMPANY. THEY REALLY DONT CARE ABOUT THERE DRIVERS IN TRUCKLOAD. YOU HAVE PROBABLY FIGURED THAT OUT BY NOW. IF THEY DID THEY WOULDN'T BE GIVING YOU THEM AWEFULL MILES. I WOULD DO WHAT I DID IF I WERE YOU. I WOULD GO GET A REAL JOB. AVERITT PUTS ON A GOOD SHOW. THEY ARE NOT ANY DIFFERENT THAN ANY OTHER TRUCKLOAD CARRIERS. THEY JUST THINK THEY ARE. WHEN I QUIT AND WENT TO MY CURRENT JOB I INCREASES MY INCOME BY 25000 a year. MY WORST WEEK HAS BEEN 2300 MILES. AND THAT IS PROBABLY AVERITTS BEST WEEK. LONG STORY SHORT AVERITT IS SIMPLY A JOKE.

I hate to burst your bubble. But just because they told you that you could transfer dont make it true. Averitt lies. There is a phrase at averitt express. Lie cheat and steal.. Get used to it

It's funny your the only one on here complaining...First and foremost we are just like every other company. We have a bad times and we have are good times. I will agree with you saying that 4 years ago Averitt hit bottom and miles dropped really bad but they have picked up and majority of our guys around my terminal are averaging 2200-2800 weekly and some of the guys have like 3000 for a week. It's all about your FM and how good you run. Averitt express a ltl first and a truckload second. Which company do you work for I would love to hear it.

I am amazed when someone tells the truth it is complaining. First of all i worked there for a long while. I am not complaining. I am trying to help other drivers not to get caught up in averitt bs. The truth needs to be told about averitt. Now anyone that doubts what i am saying i challenge them to find a driver in a averitt truck and they will tell you the same thing. Afterall if they were such a good company why are they always begging for drivers? It is real simple because they deliver what they promise.

My only issue with anything said here is the line about "BRAINWASHED" Averitt drivers. Dude, I am far from brainwashed. I have an extensive thread here that covers my experience with Averitt since I started almost a year ago. They promised me 2200 miles a week. I have averaged 2300 and have been home with the family every weekend. I have been treated with much respect everywhere I go by both Averitt personnel and customers alike. Having driven for Swift I can tell you, Averitt is a way better situation. I hear the same all the time from guys who have started with the likes of JB, Schneider, PAM, Werner, CR England, etc. You have to start somewhere and I can tell you Averitt treats you better than those places do.

Most importantly they don't mess with my pay. Any of it. Miles, detention, break down, etc. Maybe I am just blessed with a great FM but most drivers I talk to are happy here. Just my experience.

I started at USA, ran teams at USXpress, even tanked in the oil fields of ND for a buddy of mine. Got an Averitt Dedicated account, and have made more than promised as well. Past couple weeks have been slow, but I also was home for a week around holidays, and I ask for the 7th of January off for BCS NCG. So instead of giving me a long run, like I normally get, they're keeping me close, I'll get back in 2 days, and probably get another run somewhere's else. After that, I'll be back long haulin' my dedicated runs, and back where I was a couple weeks ago. I get off when I want, and I can stop on the road if I want and when I want. I push myself to get back as fast as I do, just so I can get home sooner, and grab another load again.
