Well dang. My 700 just died on me. It charges up, I can see the light go from red to green, but the power does nothing. I also tried the reset button. Tried plugging in to my laptop hoping it would boot it up but no go. Any ideas? I have unplugged and will let it sit for the day and charge it back up tomorrow. Anything else that might work?

Let me know if you have any more issues with this.
Thanks,

Ran into this problem last week. Had a trip to Tempe AZ last week from Grand Forks BC.crossing at Osoyoos BC. Gps routed me down into Idaho I84 ok but wanted me to go through SLC down I15 over I70 and down 89 through Flagstaff and I17 through Phoenix.
The route I wanted, which also turns out to be faster and shorter was US 93 out of Twin Falls ID. It would not let me route that way unless I put a VIA in at Love's truck stop at the junction of I15&US 93 and also one at Wickenburg AZ. For some reason it would not follow US 93 all the way down to
Tempe AZ.
On the return trip it still wouldn't follow US 93 back to Vegas.wanted me to follow I10 to the 95 adding 1hr to the trip and many extra miles.
Is there a reason why it won't route on US 93 in AZ unless u add a via even though it's faster and shorter.
For anyone knowing the layout of the country this would not b a problem but if u depended on the Gps it would add uneeded time and extra miles to the trip.
Thanks

allow all - should route on US routes
Avoid freeways - will keep you for the most part on side roads
Prefer freeways - will keep you on freeways only till destination
avoid small roads - usually small roads in around/in cities.
Or
Could be a restriction.
I will have it checked out.
Thanks,

Posted a while ago about my 710 that froze and died after 2 months.
Sent it in for warranty and it came back worse.
The screen flashes dark/light in unison with the verbal instructions, it freezes up, the charger wire gets hot where it plugs into the unit, and the battery is stone cold dead. Will not run unplugged. I am sending it back and demanding a new one or a refund.
In the mean time, I got a 510 to get me by.
It has issues right out of the box.
It is insanely slow to respond to commands, freezes up, and sometimes it says "no truck legal rout bla bla bla " and erases my rout, even when I know the rout is legal.
I have run the RM Dock diagnostics on it several times and it always has corrupt files.
These things are junk.
My next GPS will be a Cobra. -
Thanks,

I am currently running I5 south thru Cal. Selected a truck stop in Corning, and the unit crashed. Said the rout was not truck legal. It's right off the hwy. Ran the diagnostics/repair and now it works. It does this all the time. It takes over a minute to respond to selections too. very annoying.

In order to duplicate your issue I would need the start/stop locations and which TS you were routing to.
D/R - when you connect to the Dock for the first time it copies all the files except the Map files (DCA) to your C:\. The when you run D/R it compares them to what is on your TND. If you had gotten a bad download to your C:\ then you basically are comparing a bad file to a bad file.
You can delete this Cache folder and uninstall the Dock, then reinstall the Dock again to start the new download of files for the Cache folder. It is suggested you be on a high speed network and not an Aircard.
You may also have a corrupted DCA file which D/R will not fix.
I can remote into your laptop to do the above, but you would need to be on a high speed network. Even 4G may be a little slow for the re-installment of the files.
Whenever you turn on the TND nothing is in memory. Each time you go to a new screen it has to load into memory. Once you have been on a screen the response will be faster.
If you leave the TND on for several days your memory could be full and it will require a reboot of the TND to clear out the memory.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Markjmroadhog Thanks this.
