Which .ini and .cfg files did you delete? Some of these files are required.

There was an issue on the last update and that it overwrote the custom POI's. I am working with another customer right now on this same issue. I do have his POI file so I can test with, but I suspect you will have to delete one file (to be named later) and re-import the POI's. The "to be named" file will have to be deleted first.

    Thanks,
    Mark

There is no AC adapter that came with the unit. The only things i received in the box was the micro USB to 12 Volt socket and the micro USB to regular size USB. Was I shorted a cable from the factory or is the AC adapter an accessory?

Here is a list of the files I deleted:
    gpspara0.bin, gpspara1.bin, gpspara2.bin, gpspara3.bin, trip.db, User.ini, Usergps.ini, AddrBook.db, DestHistory.db, POI.db, and MyCustomPOI.db.

I was trying to restore the TND to as close to factory as possible.

However, when I try and do a diagnose and repair, it constantly says, found 3 files that need to be repaired, User.ini & Usergps.ini are the only two that I see, so I don't know what the third one is...

    Thanks

GPSParax.bin - no issue - they will rebuild
    trip.db, user.ini, usergps.ini, addrbook.db, desthistory.db will rebuild

POI.db - I need to get you this file. PM me your E-Mail. This file will not self-rebuild.

MycustomPOI.db - this is the file that is created when you import custom POI's.

Try this. Uninstall the TND Dock and if asked - delete all files associated with it. Reinstall the TND Dock. Then try importing your custom POI's again. See if you get the same thing of no files imported.

User.ini, usergps.ini and settings.ini may come up in D/R - ignore these errors. There is a "space" issue on the CRC count.

    Thanks,
    Mark

They may have changed what comes in the box. PM or E-Mail your name, address (no po box), phone, E-mail address, and serial number off the back. I will get you an RMA number. Once you get the RMA number ignore the E-Mail saying send in head unit only. I want you to send in everything.

    Thanks,
    mark

    Hi Mark,

Well, I uninstalled the dock software, re-installed the dock software, and tried loading my POI's back on (All 272 of them), and it failed miserably. It said that it failed to import 272 POI's. In regards to the POI.db, I did not remove the file but moved it off the TND and into a folder, then moved it back onto the TND.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks,
    Dan

    My new 720 worked perfectly....until today. It's not broken...maybe....just a little psychotic...

Drove from Birmingham, AL to the Atlanta area this morning....right along I-20. No problems.

Making a return trip headed to OK, however, was a different story. From just west of 285 to Lincoln, AL, the unit would show me just north of the interstate, thereby causing it to constantly recalculate and search for a route. I took a break at the Pilot in Lincoln, AL, got back on 20, and it's been fine since then. Oddity.....or conspiracy???

Also....I need to address DieselBoss on this...but maybe you can answer. I have to send in the invoice and serial number of my unit to get the map updates. The form included in the box says for purchases made by 10/31/12. I bought mine in November. Problem?

Thanks as always. I'm really liking the 720....good features....good improvements over the 500...and the larger screen is very handy for an old guy like myself.
