I already know I'm strongly partial to Peterbilts and Kenworth because they are American Manufactured and the companies that own them are American Companies!! Mack, Volvo, Freightliner, etc are all owned by foreign companies.
Something like that matters to me and I think it should matter to all of us U.S. drivers. (did I say I'm really really big into Unions and such stuff?)

    Terry!

Note the bold and emphasized section.....

Have you ever opened up your dash.....Looked at the wire harnesses?

Note on the labels......."Hecho en México" will be on them.....

Plastic parts are manufactured in Malaysia.....
That Concert Class sound system....Made in China........

There is no such thing as "American Made" any longer......

While it is true that many parts are manufactured outside of the U.S. It is also true that more of it, and the major assembly work, IS done in the U.S. and Importantly, the parent company that owns Peterbilt and Kenworth are U.S. companies! While it is impossible to purchase a rig that is completely U.S. made, Pete's and Ken's come the closest to the ideal. That's got to account for something. I'll stick with a preference to Petebilts and Kenworths, for the reasons stated.

I just wish the clown who put my pete together would of put some more glue on the weather stripping. It was falling off at the second week I had the brand new truck. Also when it rains or I get a truck wash there is more water inside my truck then outside. What's up with that. Maybe Pete's were made with pride back in the day. Now they are put together with Elmers glue.

Yea, know what you mean! It SHOULD be that ANY and ALL U.S. built products are not just superior in quality, but can be relied and depended on to be of unreproachable and lasting quality. Heck if it is made in the U.S., it OUGHT to be the BEST!!!!
