Funny you should mention being stuck in Reno....I am in the middle of my 34 at the TA in Reno, weather is supposed to hold out until Wed.

If youre heading east out of Reno then you can do whatever you want once your past the ( virtually never open) checkpoint/scale at Fernley. It's open season all the way to Elko. Then the (virtually never open) inspection point / scale between Elko and Wells. Then if ya get by that and happen to be heading north out of Wells up into Twin falls all ya have to do is make sure it all matches up for the (ALLWAYS open) scale just before Twin falls. Least that's what I've been told

Well speaking for myself, I've never went from point a to point b or c for sleep, it's about the money

I try to arrive early for a couple of reasons. First is if the customer takes the load early it gives me a chance to p/u the next load sooner. The second is if the customer doesn't take the load early I can catch up on the little things drivers put off till they have a minute to do so, like do laundry, clean the truck, get some rest,and maybe get a reset in.

i do my laundry once a week. at home. i also do my reset.
