Total for this year that I know of:

    1. Fuel truck laid over in ditch spilling 25,000L of fuel was running a log.

    2. Van Truck laid over in ditch, running a log.

    3. Truck with shipping container on tossed the container in the ditch spilling motor oil. No log because of point to point in Yukon.

I am sure there are more these are the major ones that I heard of for this year.

Word travels quick of an accident up here, if it isn,t a big one you don't usually hear of it.

I wonder how many of these accidents were attributed to being tired?
After driving through there in June, it would not be because of heavy traffic. But it could have something to do with large creatures with horns that like to run quickly across the road.

I'm always legal. 'Course I use loose leafs.
Why would I log something that's illegal?

But the world is not the perfect view that you have....

Truck stops are not always available when hours run out. Companies want you to run the full hours...
Truck stop may be there but be full so no where to park. So do you just park in the middle and block everyone in?
Shippers never take very long to load/unload...This means you can timely deliver the load as the company requires.
There are never traffic backups to deal with. These can run you over hours and end up with no where to park.

To end it all. The truck is not moving, so company hits the qualcomm or the cell phone and wants to know why you are not moving. Even though this in in the 10 hour break. Now you technically have to start it over again if you want to be legal.
