Maybe you should write a letter to the owner and explain your views on employee treatment? Also, write an article for the local newspaper where Carolina is located and tell them how happy you are to have a chance to work and maybe hint about fair treatment. This might get the attention of those running the company and let them know you all are aware of how they mistreat some drivers. Also, after a year with them you can probably move onto another company providing you have kept your act clean and have a positive attitude.

I have been in trucking about 14 years on and off since 1987. Trucking companies have not changed overall-they have no loyalty toward their drivers and most scam money away from them every chance they get. Once you leave Carolina, don't expect to be treated any better. More money-yes, but the same old crap.

Funny thing is I called Buel to get some info. asked the recruiter how much a driver makes.
He says"you get 65 percent of the load"
I say Ok then 65 percent of what?
Well its 65 percent of what the load pays.
So how do know what I make if I dont have a number to base the 65 percent on?
You know ,He says, No ones ever asked me that question before but I am going to find out and get back to you because the buck stops here.
He never got back to me.
65 percent is very misleading when you have no idea what the amount is that your paid that from and have to pay for the fuel and the oil of a truck and their financing you a kenworth T-600 that is rebuit and worth 15k and your gonna own it in 3 years and 65thousand dollars later and you will owe them 73 dollars per day until you pay off the loan and when you decide to take a few days off from driving, laid over, down for repairs, tick tick tick the money starts to pile up so go ahead and call buel. I am sure you will find plenty of drivers who starved to death trying to thread that needle.
You would have a better chance of making ends meet with Mammo.LOL:biggrin_25513:
