Doing well. After spending three days in CA I was ready to leave. I finally got a load and in NM tonight. It's not that bad here. Last week when I drove through Laramie it was -21. Toughen up...lol
Glad to hear everything is going good. Keep us posted.

I was finally able to just get hit the road today. After being in CA for three days I couldn't wait to leave. I really don't like the traffic. It's amazing, but at 0430 there are very few people on the road.
I fueled up at a Love's today and it was really busy. I think I sat for 30 minutes before I got to the pumps. I want to say there were six lanes and they were all backed way up. The two lanes to my left each had one truck at the pump and one in front of it. There was another Swift driver parked off to the side. It looked to me like she was waiting to see which of the trucks was going to move first and then pull into the lane. She'd been there awhile when another driver pulled into the lane next to me. I knew there was going to be trouble when I heard the Swift driver honking the horn. I didn't catch the name on the truck the other guy was driving but, he pulled up and was waiting in his cab. The Swift driver got out and walked passed his cab towards the store. When she got a few steps in front of his truck she turned and started cursing him out for cutting in front of her. It was on after that. He got out and started cursing at her about taking up two lanes. She finally walked off. A few minutes later she came back out and I could hear them screaming at each other.
REALLY folks?? Come on, there are a lot bigger issues in this world then whether someone may or may not have been taking up two lanes, or whether you got beat out of the choice selection because you were indecisive. I was embarrassed to be in a Swift truck with the way the other driver was acting.
It seems to me that truck drivers have a very long time to sit and think about things. Even the little things can turn into big ones if you dwell on them long enough. This is one case where I think if the Swift driver had taken a few deep breathes and thought about it, she could have acted a bit differently. OR She could have tried to give him a beat down. She was about twice his size and think she could have taken him.
I got in 602 miles today. Woohoo.
That's all I got.Bigdubber, BigByrd47119, MikeCammer and 1 other person Thank this. -

Glad to hear you got out of California. :^) Every time I drive through traffic here, I think to myself, a trip to New Jersey isn't looking too bad.

Another day down and I made it safely to Tye, TX. I woke up a bit earlier then I wanted so after an hour or so of driving I stopped at a rest area and tried to nap. I didn't work. Just as soon as I closed my eyes I was wide awake and off I went. I was able to put 607 miles behind me today. There didn't seem to be much past Tye but a rest stop and I was running out of time.
I did make a fuel stop at the Love's in Odessa, TX. At first it looked like a nice enough TS. No issues getting fuel and no screaming in the parking lot. I went in and used the restroom. Prior to entering the building I and thought about staying there over night. I hit the restroom and that made my mind up. It looked like there had been a bunch of un-potty trained kids in there, all peeing on the floor. It was just nasty. There was no way I was going to wait to see what the showers looked like. At least the checker was nice. The gal at the Love's I stayed at last night was ringing me up and while talking to me, gave me and open mouth burp/hiccup. She never missed a beat. I told her she should enter a contest. She was proud and said I should hear her when she really tries....wow.
I'm amazed at how many oil wells are in this part of TX. It seems there is one every 100 yds or so.
That's it again for today. Nothing really happening just putting miles behind me.Bigdubber, BigByrd47119 and goblue Thank this.
