That's my favorite terminal! I love Mira Loma! And Pizza Hut will deliver there also!
-
Mira Loma is Ok. I would still rather stay at a TS. I don't go to a terminal unless I have too. Meaning mechanical, DEF, or I've been sent there by dispatch. I will go to Lewiston but only because I know I can get out quickly.
MikeCammer Thanks this. -
Yeah, Junior is pretty cool. We spent the day with him yesterday. No movies it was the Saturday mapping/routing class. Easy day. Junior likes guns and blowing stuff up so we all spent a lot of time talking about that. Everyone is pretty cool.
Hoping I get a non smoking mentor but not counting on it and not requesting one particularly. I hung around the smokers at the fire can yesterday and I was fine not smoking. 28 days smoke free today.
Good luck out there. -
Lewiston is the only terminal I know of that doesn't lock you in!
have you been to Phoenix terminal yet? It can take over an hour to IN sometimes... Good luck getting out of there!
I do love the Phoenix terminal tho. Cafe, barbershop, decent lounge, and best of all, when I show up at Phoenix... It means HOMETIME!!!
another thing. I have no idea how y'all can stand the smell around Lewiston! It makes me gag! Makes it hard for me to sleep!!! I heard that the city has given the potlatch mill an ultimatum. "Control the smell, or get out when your lease is up." -
I can tell you that the City of Lewiston did not try and give that ultimatum to the mill. The mill sits outside of the city limits. I was a cop there for a few years. The mill provides a lot of jobs and produces electricity from the steam plant. When I was a kid it smelled much worse. After high school I lived directly across the river from it. It was awful. I agree that it can be hard to sleep. You may be smelling the commercial composting plant that sits on the hill above the academy. That thing stinks much worse then Potlatch. People always complain about it. Several years ago they brought in some professional smellers...yep, you read right. Specially trained guys who sniffed around and gave an opinion as to whether the odor was offensive....they said NO. Can you believe that? Lewiston has always been a stinky place. My wife won't move there.
Directions...go south on Hwy 395 from Spokane until you smell it. Go East until you step in it. -
What does "T-call a load" mean?
-
I've picked up and delivered to potlatch a couple times. It is definitely that place that gets me. The first time I was in lewiston, I honestly googled "why does lewiston stink?"
I was surprised by how many results came up! LoL
i read an article that stated what I mentioned before, maybe I read wrong. -

but this is what it is: one driver picks it up and drops it at a location for another driver to pick-up and deliver. A re-power basically. I've had dispatchers call it a t-call and others call it a re-power. Same, same.
