well really there isnt anything that can be said, that hasnt been said already either in this thread or ones like it....
not all new breed drivers are bad.....
not all old school drivers are bad.....
have bad in both... and the bickering over the difference in opinion is gonna go nowhere, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even if they are WRONG,...........
old school drivers have a bad image..tv doesnt help...the media doesnt help....but you show me a TRUE old school driver that wouldnt give you the shirt off his back if you needed it....y'all may knock them..but they are some of the best people you will find anywhere, and if you would take a minute and listen, you MIGHT just learn something.
as for the new breed, i have been gulity of lumping them together myself...but not all new drivers are bad either...its the know it alls that make it bad for the whole group..
i beg to differ for those that say, "its a job".....well it was OUR WAY OF LIFE..for HALF my life....(so far)...you have to have pride in what you do, and the equpiment you operate...AND HOW YOU PERFORM your duties...and for petes sake, have SOME RESPECT....
ok someone elses turn on the soap box...NavigatorWife, Lilbit, frago and 2 others Thank this. -
As for the above, I dont know dude, one worthy of respect wouldnt necessarily need to be shown it to act in that manner themselves.KE5WDP and NavigatorWife Thank this. -

I got my first trucking job in 1995. In 97 I tried to hire on with a reefer outfit out of Dallas. They wouldn't hire me because I didn't go to a truck driving school. Their recruiter said they could not hire me unless I went to a truck driving school first. She then proceeded to tell me that it was impossible for me to have my CDL without going to a truck driving school. I just said never mind and hung up on her.Lilbit Thanks this.
