Hi! I'm new to this site, just found it while looking for info on Class B tanker jobs (like the ones for water w/drilling companies) for myself & my brother-in-law (Class A). Any info on that would be appreciated more than I can put into words!! Seems like a lot of people are looking right now, though.

I've been driving local Class B trucks in the Duluth, MN area for 7 years, just looking at getting back to trucking full time. The last 3 years I was the operations manager for an electronics recycling facility (while working 3 other jobs, so I still did a lot of driving); it was sold rather suddenly & I was laid off--the new owner now does my old job.

I'm looking to get into something a little different where I can make some decent $. I would be willing to travel, especially if the company has multiple job openings since my brother-in-law is also looking for a job (I'd be a little nervous about being in the middle of nowhere, not knowing anyone on a crew, & possibly being the only woman out there...bad past experiences...), but he doesn't have much trucking experience yet. Anyways, if anybody knows where else I could look, please let me know. Thanks, and hope to see you out there! Best of luck to everybody! :)

Welcome to the forum.!! This thread is kind of "tucked away" why not post your question on the forum;maybe the 'Questions From New Drivers' or the Job section? You will receive more responses there.. :)

Only things I can think of is to post your resume on www.mnworks.net or post what you want in a job on www.truckpaper.com. Keep tryin..You will find what you want.!!

I forgot...Why not call AMPI in New Ulm,MN? I dont know if their needing driver's right now;but have heard the pay is good and have seen both Company A and B Trucks.. Move there;and you may develop a "Southern" accent. :)

Welcome, Truckergirl! Sorry, I have no advice on a Class B (I'm just a wife of a driver).

I'm going to send you a PM in a bit;I've thought of a couple more "B" Tanker companies in my area. I would post them here but a Mod may try to nail me for "spamming".

Thanks again, Bumpy, for the PM. Apparently I can't send those yet...Idk

I can honestly say I never thought about driving tankers of cheese around!! :) Looks like I might be getting into expedited w/my brother-in-law, though. Can't say I know anybody else who could stand being locked in a cab with their in-law! If we end up trying to strangle each other, I might have to look into that cheese company :)

Kinda figured it was, it's just more amusing to think of a tanker full of cheese:mlaugh:...or maybe those 6 years living in Wisconsin drove me a little crazy...

Why am I suddenly envisioning 8,000 gallons of Velveta rolling through Milwaukee?
