Joker I delivered in granite city this morning then had to rescue another load and take it to olney, il to the Walmart dc. Now I'm sitting at the truck stop nearby there.

Sat in Layton since sunday afternoon. Was supposed to pick up in Clearfield at 0700, get there and get told by Americold my appointment is at 2100.
Second time in a week my dispatch was wrong and nobody updated it. The other time being me going to a shipper and getting told they canceled the
load the day before. This is getting really frustrating, as this will be my second week of making almost no money just because I want to go home for a
day and get my mail, especially when it is only the 3rd time I asked to go home in 8 months. Slow time or not, this is BS.

Wrong appointment times seem to be the norm lately. I've been lucky with mine as far as getting loaded/unloaded. Didn't have to reschedule thank goodness. Still sitting here in olney, il.

Finally got my load at Clearfield, they wanted me to go to Phoenix and deadhead to Vegas to take hometime, had a brainstorm, went to Vegas, got my mail on my break and continue to Phoenix and take a day there. Can't afford to get stuck in Vegas all weekend. It was the middle of the night so I couldn't talk to DM, but I figure I just went 50 miles out of route to save you a 300 mile deadhead (plus a 300 mile deadhead out, as they did the other times I have been here). My thanks--"You need to tell me when you go out of route", not sorry for dicking you around for a week and not getting you home when you requested, not thanks for shortening your hometime and saving us some fuel. Sometimes all it takes is to say the right thing to smooth something over, something they don't teach their DMs apparently.
