Don't you love when you sit 5 hours waiting for an unload before getting a call from your dm saying the cx called asking why you never made it? Good times. To add to it they had me down for 0800 yesterday instead of 0200 today, so I doubt I'll get detention.

Im still not being unloaded at 1152. -
Just got an appointment confirmation for 0200, so I should get my detention now regardless of what they had at the 99, so I can soothe myself with the stack of money, even if I am at max detention already.
Arkansas Frost and Lady K Thank this. -
Passion4polishing, I'm glad you're getting your detention pay!
When things work out in trucking, they really work out JUST RIGHT. Here's my favorite detention pay story:
Was sent to pick up a load from Coors, about 40 mins from my house. This was before we had the Henderson yard, so there were no local drivers and no such thing as Coors Dedicated Fleet.
The Coors shipper called me into the dispatch office and shut the door. He said that everything was messed up and I would have to wait maybe a couple of days(!) before my load was ready.
I guess he was expecting me to explode on him, but I just gave him my cell phone number and told him to call me when the load was ready. I then called my dm to start my detention pay (we used phones a lot more back then).
So I went home and enjoyed the next three days eating my own food, driving my own car, and sleeping in my own bed. Just enjoying the home life. Coors finally called after three days and said I was finally loaded, so I hooked onto the trailer, called my DM to confirm my detention pay, and drove off into the sunset.
Best detention money I ever made!Lady K, Bumper, Aaron Stewart and 1 other person Thank this. -

Lady K Thanks this. -
Our fsc is about .11 last I checked... 1.19 isn't too bad
-
Fsc is .247. Pay attention frost, that makes my gross 1.322 loaded or mt. 1.19 is bs.
