You should be angry with that if you have a student on board. I know you are a good trainer Joker, but the student is not getting the training time they need if you are sitting around. Granted, there are things you can do while sitting. Practice backing, going over qualcomm etc. With a student on board, you should be getting no less than 3500/week.

I'm talking monetary value. Thats the minimum where I'm happy and 3500 miles is to much puts me in a higher tax bracket. Right around 3100 is good. Plus the guy I have now drove years back. But thats for winter months. Summer time I'm not happy with less than 3k but you're correct theres tons of stuff you can do while sitting. I hate sitting but I'll see ya at white mochas wedding?

3500 is possible solo. And its def possible training. Trainers can go negative on 14 if loads were set up right we could run 5000 miles in a week then 34

Wow! Blue showing a little moxy ;)

You described exactly the problem I've had with Steve, he contradicts himself often. Either that or he speaks and interprets the english language differently than most of us do. The logic he uses in sentence structure leads the reader to believe he means one thing, however, when you define the premise of his statements with a counter argument, his standard response is, "I NEVER SAID!" LOL.

    Paloma Thanks this.

Platinum and Paloma attacked me personally. That JOKE comment was a slam to those two who I knew would read it! Before that post you can clearly see me state that I have no problem with either of these companies I was simply stating their not MUCH different then MAY in the fact that have many of the same customers and they both haul freight in the irregular FTL niche'.

For the record that post was not to be taken literal i was a bit frustrated by the goof troop and probably should have just blew them off however my attempt at sarcasm is somehow now perceived as a contradiction.

once someone expresses discontent with may then here you come calling it 'industry standard'

How long have you been driving? How long have you been with your new and or current company? I'm not excusing the actions of MAY but how are you so sure that I'm wrong? Before I worked at may I worked for another carrier for 7 almost 8 years. You don't think that in that time I can spot trends across a segment of the industry? I'm not excusing MAY btw

You have heard from a million old timers Ahhh their all the same just a different name on the door. When you have been doing this long enough you will understand that my comment was not a litteral attack on your NEXT COMPANY OF CHOICE.

Ask any one you know who has been driving truck for 1 million milers or more and ask them what is the difference between GORDON MAY AND INTERSTATE IS chances are they will say THE COLOR OF THE TRUCK! Where the heck is @powderjoints when you need him or @bigray

BTW because I know you guys can tend to be sensitive. I'm not claiming because I have millions of miles behind me that I'm better then you just in case you planned to twist that somehow!

I trained 18 students when I was at May. I know how May's training program works. The trainers hours are irrelavent after a few days. They can continue to be on duty as long as they like. They cannot drive though until they have hours back on their 70 hour clock.

Getting low miles, with a student on board, gives off the impression that the company cannot even provide enough miles for them once they go solo.

Okay, Trucker Steve. I realize I'm " millions" of miles behind you. Just stop speaking in parables and it will be a lot easier for me to understand you. I mean, who do you think you are, Jesus? ;-)

He talks about companies and people he knows NOTHING about and then degrades them when we set Miss Steve straight.

At this point, everything he says is just amusing ..

Hey, hey, hey. Let Trucker Steve be. Everybody has a right to opinion. He needs to make more YouTube vids over this bickering.

Draped up and drifted out. Know what I'm talking about? Three in the morning, just stashed up my stash spot.
