Well, if its leaking down that fast , yea , you need to fix it. Even if its not your main problem. From what I've been able to learn , the turbo actuator needs 90 lbs. air pressure , to work correctly.
Did you get your CAC checked ?
A lot of small leaks there , could cause big problems , going down the road. I'm beginning to believe that could be my problem , even though I had it checked , a year ago.
As to sensors , well , they go bad , and don't always throw a code. Yesterday my cruise control started acting up , and I ran INSITE , going down the road , and it didn't tell me anything. By the way the cruise is acting , I'm Guessing its a switch , on the clutch pedal.
Anyway. I know exactly how you feel. I keep throwing money at these problems , hoping I'll get lucky , and find the problem , even if its by dumb luck.
INSITE , and mechanics , are good tools to have , but your experience with your truck , can go a long way , towards solving your problem.
And , remember , sometimes , when you're trying to describe a problem to someone , they HEAR only what they want to hear , and not what you're saying!
Turbo Actuator : here is a good way to check it . Running INSITE , hook to a loaded trailer , take off down the road . Or, even a yard , if its big enough. A few hundred feet should be enough. If it shows it at 20 , it's ok. I think that's right , but , if I'm wrong , someone on here will correct me.
If it doesn't go to 20 , and stay there , under maximum load , after you've fixed your air leak problem , it needs to be replaced.
They are expensive, but there's a place near Chicago , that rebuilds them , and its half the cost of a new one.
If you DO need to replace it , let me know , I'll give you the name and phone number.

You guys need to know, that in cold ambient temperatures, lets say 40F and below max boost is lowered by ECM comapred to lets say 60F outside because there is more oxygen in colder air and you producing more hp, trucks runs faster and so mpg drops down in wintertime? Just wanna make sure you are aware of that

It's kinda strange but thats what I'm seeing for sixth winter, about 3 PSI drop in turbo boost when truck seems to be a bit stronger. And louder. But I go West, so elevation also plays some role in it, but then - it stay the same all year round. Just so you know, it's never simple with ISX - this animal is living under set of own rules since it can control turbo size

Well, I seemed to have my problem with mine fixed ! I did a soapy water test , found a small leak on one of the charge air boots .
What A Difference. Musta been a big leak , at high boost !
havent run INSITE yet , to check the pressure , but don't know I need to . I'm drivin a Hot Rod now!gregor Thanks this. -
yesterday i replaced plastic plate dont know how to call it, also found leaks from some kind of valve on very end of tranny (dont have idea what it is) and i dont know what function it has and how is supplied....???? it has 3 air plugs on top pointing left frame rail and 1 pointing ground??? also middle (front ) tank making a loud noise ,i put my hand on it and even felt its vibrating with its noise???????? 2 air boots has small leak on this tank so im gonna fix it today but what about noise????
