It's a truckstop. If you can't sleep next to idling trucks, running reefers, the hobo that comes knocking wanting a couple bucks so he can go buy a tall boy and get hammered, the ratchet jaw with his kicker on turned all the way up babbling about god knows what, and lot lizards knocking on your door go to a hotel that has truck parking. I don't pull a reefer, but I've slept next to them a few times didn't bother me at all then again I'm used to sleeping to the sound of a motor as well. Yes it's about being curtious which is why when I pull into the truckstop to sleep I TRY to find a spot away from everybody else to park in that way they know when they pull up that my truck's going to be idling all night. Yes there's common courtesy but when it's late and it's cold courtesy takes a back seat to my health and my safety and my trucks going to idle all night if it wakes you tough and I'm sorry but like a few others said it's a truckstop. Also remember they're the ones that have to sleep the closest too it so it ain't like you're the only one that's having a hard time sleeping if you're not used to it. And I'll tell you what I've heard some apu's that were as loud if not louder than my cat. You can point the finger all over if you'd like. Not sticking up for anybody or taking sides just saying. Be safe out there guys.
Bigdubber, OldHasBeen, newlife1966 and 4 others Thank this. -
