I drag a reefer, and if im stopping early in the day for my 10 hrs, I will try and park away from the rest of the lot, say along the curb, or on the ramp leading onto the old scales, at most J's .
I try to be the good 'neighbor' and do realize my reefer and my apu, can be a pain at night when others are sleeping.
I know when I pull dry loads, and park in a normal spot, how annoying it is when there is no need to idle, or run an apu, how many insist they have to idle at full rpms for no reason.

volvodriver01, ironpony and MJ1657 Thank this.

I know this is off topic a little bit, wondering why nobody complained about the trucks that have a horizontal exhaust system instead of a vertical one and idleing away. Don't know about anybody else but i would get so smoked out sleeping next to a truck like that that i would move. i'm not crying like the rest, just wondering why all the complaining has not included that.

Hate to admit. But I have a "Grass Burner" exhaust on my 99 T600. I've never heard one word from anybody over the years though. I also try my best to be considerate where I park. But unfortunately, I have no choice but to park along somebody else with that exhaust going right under their tractor. I'll try my best to park back a ways or nose in. But I can't always do that. I idle about 60% of the time, too.

I'll be in a new 2013 T660 with an APU soon.

Bottom line for me is that I could careless what other drivers do. Just as long as they don't hit my rig, don't get piss on my rig, don't block me in and don't be stealing my LED's, dang it!!!

K I'll remember that next time I decide to throw my bedroll down on the cat walk between the straight pipe hood and their carrier unit!
